Don't know if they have a huge non buffalo fan base. but I'm actually from Vancouver. (the same vancouver with the vancouver canucks) and Sabres are my number 1, and Canucks are my number 2. bought game centre, and nhl centre ice to watch all the games for the last 7 years, and before that I used illegal streams.
Been a Sabres fan for so long that I remember when Gilbert Perreault was in his prime. I grew up in Western NY, learned as much as I could about hockey listening to Rick Jenneret on a transistor radio. Spent 20 years and hundreds of dollars on every hockey publication you can think of to follow the Sabres after I moved away. Now I have the internet, live in the midwest, visited 20 some NHL hockey arenas all over for games. But I've still never seen a game in Buffalo or ever seen the Sabres play live, even on the road....how pathetic is that? But I bet that since 98 or so, I've missed less than 50 Sabres games on Center Ice.

Someday.........
I've been to 2 sabres game. both in vancouver. 1-1. the loss was close. the win was something like 8-3 sabres in the peca era
I grew up an hour outside of Toronto but have always been a Sabres fan... used Center Ice for about five years and this year I got gamecenter. Also go to school in St. Catharines now, so that makes going to the games pretty easy.
Been a Sabre since the years around the time they went to the Stanley Cup finals against Dallas.
Have followed many years just by results in the newspapers and watching who scored and so on, the only connection other than that was some old videogames.
Nowadays i got the time and the technology to watch the games live at night. Being unemployed has its advantages. Unfortunately i will not be able to see all the games this season because i need to sleep aswell.
But it's really exciting to finally get the chance to watch a team you only have followed through small statistic-notes in magazines. I'm enjoying it even thou Buffalo is very inconsistent.
Actually just became a Sabre fan out of the area. Had to move to NC for work. So I got Center Ice, which is good to watch the games. But maybe someone who's done this longer can answer why Center Ice hasn't had the Buffalo broadcast to any games yet, at least in HD. Its been Toronto, Montreal, Boston etc announcers and I miss RJ's home cooking.
Out of town fan here (from Vancouver). Been leeching off illegal streams until this season (poor university student), when my dad finally bought GameCenter.
My brother lived with a family in Calgary when he moved up there for a music camp. They were big Sabres fans and my folks still get them tickets whenever the Sabres make the journey up. Mother drives an old Volvo that still has a no goal bumper sticker on it.

Out-of-towner, obviously. I was born and raised in Rangerville in a NYC suburb....My father was born and raised in WNY, understandably breathes and bleeds Buffalo sports, and I've known nothing else from birth, growing up, until now. Proud as **** of it, despite the lack of success in my lifetime, and have clearly carried it on my own now for a while. It's in my blood/DNA, and I love every second of it.
...I am originally from Kraków in Poland, but I live in London, UK now...I am a Sabres fun since late 90's.....since 2010/11 i have watched almost every game live on ESPN Player and Game Center, many times changed my shifts at work to do so....
I lived in Buffalo from age 9 to age 35, moved to NorCal last summer to be with my GF while she finishes her doctorate. Think I've only missed 2-3 games since I've been here.
Buffalo native living in Maryland right now. Switched to Gamecenter this year, and am loving it. Can watch on the Xbox, or the computer or the smart phone.:-)
Comcast refuses to provide Center Ice in anything other than SD. Not worth it when I can get Gamecenter in HD.
