Spezza is out for the rest of the regular season and Ottawa only has 1 goal in their last 2 games, so we better win this one.

Buffalo have allowed 4+ goals in their last four games and are 1-5-1 in their last seven, yet there's optimism in the first few posts that our defense will somehow be solid enough to get the two points? I'll believe it when I see it. Meanwhile, Anderson's been remarkably good for Ottawa in net and I don't see us -- or should I say VHP -- putting more than three goals past him, so since I have no confidence in our defense to discontinue their gaffes, I'll say 5-2 Sens.

Not that the D will be solid enough to get two points; rather, solid enough to hold Ottawa to a goal or less?!??? C'mon myeoh.

If Ottawa is indeed struggling as bad as it seems they are offensively, a matchup against Buffalo and our soft D corps would be just what the doctor ordered.

That Ottawa lineup... Aside from EK, old Alfie and a couple of blue chippers nowhere near their prime yet.... Looks really weak with Gonchar, Spezza, etc. all out.

So... Maybe Buffalo wins?

I agree with this post. Anderson is playing out of his mind, Reminds me of Millers "Hasek-esque" season. If Vanek continues his incredible point streak with another multi-point game, we're gonna win a close game.

If Vanek and his line cant put the puck past Anderson, it's going to be a clear win for Anderso.... ehm, I meab Ottawa.

Sidenote: I don't think thar our lineup looks so nuch better on paper than the current lineup of the sens without Spezza/Gonchar.

They do have a better coach, I guess.

Really? Vanek/Pominville>>any forward Ottawa currently has in their line-up. Karlsson>>any of our D, but almost any of our D>any of Ott's other d-men. If the Sabres allow 4+ goals against that shamble of a line-up, I'll be starting a letter-writing campaign to get Ruff fired.
