Philly is tied with the Isles and NY has a game in hand. LOVE IT.

Devils get spanked by Isles. The Penguins can be on top of the conference after tomorrow if they win in Buffalo.

This Flyers team goes as Giroux goes. You shut him down, you win the game.

Looking that way. Don't be surprised if Holgren goes... Full Holmgren at the deadline though.

I am getting conflicted. As nice as it is to see Philly suffer, I really don't want them getting a lottery pick and see them sell off tangential assets at the deadline for more candy in a super deep draft.

So, here's to hoping for "Full Holmgren".

Good comeback by Edmonton. They looked awful for the first half of the game, but put it together eventually.

They had 23 shots in the first period.

They looked awful for a few minutes and it ended up being 3 goals against.

Not that the shot total isn't impressive, but they weren't of the greatest quality. The Avs looked far more dangerous throughout the 1st.

Hemsky wants to be a Penguin. You can tell; he's playing with some tenacity now.

I still think that the Flyers will get into the play-offs. Hope they don't.

They will. They have enough good players that they'll turn it around. Especially if they go and trade for Luongo at the deadline. That would be not cool. Holmgren will become the model for the "Buyout GM" over the next two years or so IMO. Bryz will be first.

Boy we complain about our PP....There is no way that Chicago with that talent should be 13th on the PP.

I'm guessing casual American hockey fans who only catch NHL games on NBC think the league is comprised of 6 teams...

I think the score is fairly indicative of the play on the ice.

Still better than every single goddamned Yankees-Red Sox game getting the national treatment.

The Red Sox have more games on Fox this year than any other team...and this is a team that went 69-93 last year.

At least the 6 teams NBC televises are actually good and entertaining to watch.

Yah they're called the Big 6. Haven't you heard of them before? They're the most legendary teams in hockey: Chicago, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Philly, Rangers, Bruins. I'm not sure there are any other teams. These LA guys show up once in a while but you know... Hollywood flash in the pan. Penner is soff. There are rumors to the effect that there are Canadian teams but I'm not sure I buy it.

Somehow, the Kings have managed to get a full-blown Cup hangover despite an extra four months rest. I know they have some guys dinged up but ****.
