Just watching the 1st right now, but his body language before Huberdeau's PS just seemed like frustrated. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but he seemed pessimistic even before it happened.

Yeah, I remember a lot of Wild fans complaining about that pick too. Shows what fans know a lot of the time. Seems to be working out.

After watching that hit again, I think Clutter is gone for a while. Dislocated hip? Not pretty.

Any news if Anisimov is okay or not? Scary to watch that happen. It was a freak accident. We were watching live and he never gave a thumbs up or anything to the crowd.

Really hoping he's okay.

I find it hilarious how Philly chews through goaltenders.

How about Ryan Murphy playing 24 minutes in his NHL debut :O

Not like the pens where rookies gets 8 mins

He wouldn't have got those minutes under normal circumstances. Pitkanen and Gleason were both out and Bobby Sanguinetti went down in the 2nd which left them with only 5 D the rest of the way including a guy named Michal Jordan who played around 7 minutes.

Skinner is out too. Maybe Jordan Staal took some of the Pens terrible injury luck with him to Carolina.

In all honesty I think he was unconscious for a couple minutes.

I did some quick maths while watching Kovalchuks absolute absurd icetime.

If you compare Kovalchuks icetime with genos so far this season he have played about 5.5 more games of hockey. Seen over a full 82 game schedule that would add an additional 26 games.

Compared with sid he's played up towards 4 games more which would add up to some 19 games in a full season. And sid icetime is top 10 among forwards in the league.

I know that icetime and production is not a linear function but that is a hell lot more hockey and the law of averages would add quite a few points over those games. Yes Kovalchuk kills penalties but not that much really. He averages a bit under 2 minutes a game shorthanded.

Is this a smart strategy by the devils?

Probably not smart run the wheels off your 100 million dollar star. If you do so, then you're left with a 100 million dollar albatross

Well I guess we can scratch Clutterbuck off the list (not that he was ever a realistic option). I'm assuming it's bad based on the replay.

Match-ups are such a weird thing. The Flyers suck against a lot of teams and then come in and play inspired hockey against us. We always play well against the Rangers but struggle against Flyers, Devils.

The Islanders will place Rick DiPietro on waivers.

Chances he trips over the waiver wire and injures himself?

Best case is them missing the playoffs. Honestly, they are the only team that I wouldn't want the Pens to face.

Quick! Clame him! Trade Fleury and Vokoun for wingers! Call up Theissen!
Trade Neal for Stamkos! Trade TK for Ovechkin! Trade Crosby for Malkin!
