I used to post on main board frequently years ago. Now I post there quite infrequently, but I remember there just being a handful of us from this board posting there, and there actually being some good posters. That place turns all good posters bad.

My fondest memory of main board is RRP doing a Neal to Pittsburgh thread multiple times for years and Dallas saying, "We won't ever listen unless Letang is involved." He definitely got the last laugh on that one.

I wonder how many Habs fans called 911 to have "Grabo La Menace" arrested?

Austria is going to Sotchi. We'll get murdered there, but at least we qualified.

Looks like realignment is being discussed between the NHL and NHLPA. The NHLPA seems most concerned with the competitive imbalance of the four conference setup (7 teams in some conferences, 8 in the others) and the increased travel.

http://prohockeytalk.nbcsports.com/2...ed-once-again/

Personally, as long as there are 30 teams in the NHL I prefer a six division format.

Don't expect anything to happen until Phoenix's fate is decided. IMO they're going to be relocated to next season.

Something that surprises me is how Kopitar plays. He plays strong hockey. He's not afraid to toss the body around a little bit. Great player.

That sounds familiar.

If it were to happen, it also depends on where they'd relocate to. I know a lot of fans think Quebec should be option #1, but that may not be how the NHL feels. I wouldn't be surprised if they wanted to go to Seattle first. Logistically, it'd be much easier if they moved to Seattle rather than Quebec.

Detroit has given up 25 shots half way through the game.

I hate Detroit. Mike Babcock must have written a field manual on interference, stick-holding, and net-collapsing at some point in his career. They use these tactics to perfection and get away with them every game, it drivesme insane.

We did, he just chose Detroit, we were the early leading candidate to land him during the middle of last season, he just wanted to go to Detroit.

You know what's funny about that biting incident? Mike Milbury defended it. He called Crosby a punk last spring for cross checking Brayden Schenn, he called Kunitz gutless for a late hip check, but biting is perfectly understandable.

Germany out of the olympics really hurts my olympic drinking game. the best rule was take a drink every time a german competitor participates in an event. Every time a period started was 23 drinks

Olczyk just praised Detroit for their borderline - interference plays.

The way this Detroit/LA game is going, 250 penalties would have been called if it was being called the same way as Pens/Devils from yesterday.

I heard that. I loved it the year we won when Gill pretty much saw what they were doing & said "well okay I'll do it too" & they started complaining.

Seeing Scuderi out there makes me wish we kept him. Seeing him poke check it off a Red Wing & then just turn it up the ice with a nice pass. I thought they overpaid for him but that contract looks nice now.

I know that dump in would have been an icing for sure.
