49ers will improve through FA and the draft. Plus Kaepernick will get a full offseason with Harbaugh and is going to be even better next year. They must fix the secondary.

Its an absolute must. If they start next season with this same secondary group, they failed IMO. Special teams needs work as well, how can you go from one of the best to one of the worst in 1 season?

This hurts. More than last years loss. You have 4 plays from the 7 and you don't run once. Add the bad no-calls by one-sided officials and you have one upset 49ers fan.

And **** that pudding commercial and CBS catering to a convicted criminal.

That is what pisses me off. The play calling there was awful. You have the best run OL and i think Haloti Ngata was out for the Ravens and you don't even attempt 1 run?

They ran on 1st down with James and got 2 yards. They should have ran again with Gore or Kap. Seriously, Gore JUST ran for 33 yds previously. They weren't stopping the run at all. Their run defense was like the 49ers pass defense. Vulnerable.

Roman should have called another run play on 2nd down, if that doesn't work then you call pass plays on 3rd/4th down.

Yeah, Roman/Harbaugh seem to outsmart themselves. Same thing as that Rams game when they called the pitch sweep on 3rd down deep in their zone. Why?

Oh well, Niners lost this game in the 1st half. How in the world do you get a formation penalty ON THE FIRST PLAY!

That's right. But why is James out there when Gore and Kap were both better options? The playcalling was terrible and so were Booger and crew.

****in' heartbreaking.
Nothing worse than being teased with hope and then having it all be crushed at the end.

That was a clear hold on the 4th down play, but I can see why they didn't call it... my biggest gripe is the play calling in the red zone. Atrocious.

You have to give Gore a chance on 2nd down there... argh. Just bloody frustrating.

Gotta do something about that secondary, too...

If the Niners didn't **** the bed in the first half we might be looking at MLB and NFL campions in the same city. Despite that, it was a fun game to watch and the Niners mad a hell of a run at it.

I hope they will be back next year to win it.

I got my disappointment out of the way in the third quarter. Sometimes you gotta take a step back and think about how good you have it in life.

A friend from 8thgrade-Highschool is on the ravens.. I mean.. he doesn't play, but I'm sure he'll get a ring. Also, we were in a semi-fight once, so I can always say now, I punched a Superbowl champion in the face.

I actually got bored and watched the second half. I just can't get into the sport, though I admit it was fairly intriguing there for a bit. Going to suck at work tomorrow though, everyone there are huge Niners fans.

One thing to take away from this game is that Kaepernick, Crabtree and Davis looked incredible in the passing game. Kaep is developing into an elite passer. Some of those throws were jaw dropping.

I agree. The offense will only get better next year with Kaepernick from the beginning. That said, you never know if they will get back to this spot again, which is why this result really hurts.

They will get back and win the year Santa Clara gets to host the Superbowl, so there's that

Being a Raiders fan, I'm so damn happy the Ravens won. I'm the only Raiders fan in my family and they were talking smack to me the whole day saying they will stay undefeated in the Super Bowl.. Now let me tell you, I surely got the last laugh.. Lol /rant

Well I hope you enjoyed it. You probably didn't see too many competitive games this year....

Yeah. It's not easy being a Raiders fan. So I've seen no competitive games at all. None. Nada. ZERO... I give it up to the niners though. Great team. Just please don't mess with the fuse box next time. It really killed momentum for the Ravens..

This talk about the lights and momentum is crap. The Niners have been a great 2nd half team for most of the year and they gave the ball up after one play after the lights came on.

I joked with my buddy that if the 49ers came back to win..Beyonce should get a ring for her light show destroying the power grid and the Ravens mojo. I wish they would have won to shut up that idiot Shannon Sharpe too.

There was 35 minutes in delay. That's more than enough time to kill momentum for a team who just ran an opening of the second half kickoff back for a TD.
