Pens and Canucks aren't good trade partners...

Washington is probably looking for a big shake-up given their current record.

Johannsson seems like a likely target.

Well, for Vancouver, my guess is that they're looking at moving any or all of Luongo, Ballard, Raymond...maybe Booth when he's healthy.

What might Washington have that they'd like? A big-bodied two-way presence they can change up using on the 2nd or 3rd lines, depending who's healthy and who's clicking: Brouwer and Ward fit that bill. I could see Eric Fehr being of interest too, given that he's slid down the depth chart in WAS but has a history of being a decent two-way player. Maybe Erskine if Ballard were going the other way?

What might Pittsburgh have that they'd (realistically) like? I don't really see much-- maybe a move like Martin for Ballard and a 3rd or something. Something around Raymond for Kennedy?

More likely that Vancouver and Washington are in talks though, I'd bet.

Aside from Ovie and Backstrom who is untouchable on the Caps these days? Forsberg? Kuznetsov?

Only Way that is happening is if Gillis has lost his mind and is also moving the Sedins.

Would assume/hope Alzner and Carlson as well. Carlson's crummy play notwithstanding.

Neither Forsberg nor Kuznetsov are at the game, though.

Do the canucks have any top 6 forwards they want to give up?

Raymond or Booth are moveable.

Schroeder @ center could probably be moved.

I believe there was some history between Gillis and Carlson before, maybe they're revisiting it again

Caps have allowed 4 goals in the first 28 minutes of the game so far.

Gillis and Gilman are probably salivating.

Washington is a shell of its former self. Crabb and Beagle on the top line? The Caps need to make several moves.

But da Luongoz isn't a top goalie in da league! Oh? His GAA and SV% are 2nd in the league right now?
