Why not just post all of the waived off goals and get it over with?

Everyone knows the players are having a tough time getting into the game, getting their legs back and all, but what about the refs? They've been blowing an awful lot of apparently simple calls so far, they are struggling to get back in game shape and to keep pace, for sure.

Considering the whistle goes before goal and you can see two potential backcheckers slowing down that's more of disallowed scoring chance that a disallowed goal. Still a weak call though.

The fact that goaltender interference is not reviewable in the case of goal is beyond retarded. Been waiting this change for years and still nothing. So many butchered calls could be fixed so easy.

Don't forget the 'hold' Petry was called for, and my favourite: Gomez called for obvious goalie interference. Puck goes up to Nugent-Hopkins for a 2 on 1. The play is whistled down for some sort of phantom cause, nullifying the chance the Oilers could have had on the 2 or 1. That unbearably horrendus call on Clowe just evens up how terrible the Zebra's had been towards the Copper and Blue.

I'm seeing a lot of goalies throwing themselves back when being touched or brushed. VERY SOFT stuff.

Diving is becoming a real problem in this league. Every year it gets worse. Yeah, the reffing has been pretty bad, but if the players aren't flopping all over the place trying to get calls and goals disallowed, it makes their tough jobs a little easier.

No wonder scoring is so low, half the goals are called off

But really this has been a problem for a while. Nhl is over compensating for the Lucic-Miller incident. Goalies are coming out of their crease, initiating contact and getting the goal called off It's hard to watch.

Bad replay, but only one I could find. The contact didn't impede Quick at all. On the first one, you can see a ref (#65) skate all the way from the blueline, calling it a goal. He points at where the puck was and starts yelling at the other ref who has the "I messed up bad" expression on his face. Never seen anything like it before.

The OTT-MON and PHI-BUF one's are the worst by far. Makes you wonder if the refs are even paying attention to the game at all.

you can add bozak's goal getting disallowed b/c it was kicked in...even though it wasn't even close to a kick.

Wasn't even close? Riiiiight

I can see that going either way, and people would ***** about it either way. Lose-lose scenario for the refs.

It was a kick, and that's not the refs decision anyway, video review overruled the call.

I'd suggest in getting an HD television. If you have one I'd suggest getting your eyes checked.

I can see why they called it a kicking motion...to me it wasn't conclusive though. given call on the ice was goal I'd have erred that way...then again I'm also biased

He pushed it with his right leg. If it were his left leg, would have been good.

So it was a good call.
