The review committee don't even care if their interpretation isn't what's strickly written in the rules. It's a kick by their current reinterpretation of rules ie "momentum", "propelling" "direction changes".

Ahahahaha Morrow got called for goaltender interference on Varlamov while Varly was outside the crease and Morrow scored.

I'm not complaining as an Avs fan though, one call going our way.

Yes that call was hilarious. Although I'm not sure had I said that if I were a stars fan.

That call was so bad. Hope we get video soon, there's no way that was interference or a bad goal.

refs must be programmed to disallow any goal scored when a goalie is laying on the ice

"In all cases in which contact is deemed intentional or deliberate, whether inside or outside the crease or if a goal was scored or not, a MINOR penalty to the attacking player for interference on the goalkeeper would result."

I'm not a fan of either team, but the contact must have been ruled intentional. It looked intentional to me personally, not malicious, but it seemed like he didn't make enough of an effort to skate around him.

Varly was at the top of the paint and got knocked off balance to where the puck went over him as he was falling...

Did Morrow interfere? Yep. Did Varlamov sell it? I think so.

Yup, the Morrow was a close call which often goes the home team's favor.
Morrow actually touched Varlamov enough to make him off-balance.

As someone said upthread, it doesn't matter if it's accidental. You can't swing your foot and kick the puck into the net.

Didn't see the Morrow one, but the Bozak one was close. As much as I hate the Leafs, I'd hate if it went against my team. I don't think he really was meaning to kick it in, but I guess in the rules that doesn't really matter. I think if he would've turned that back skate about a second sooner to stop, it would've been allowed. Announcers cracked me up though. I noticed right away it hit his back foot as there was a bit of a kick, took them quite a while to realize.

I constantly see the same threads over and over. Everyone wants to kill the refs. The NHL is clearly trying to eliminate goalie interferance and dangerous play. Fighting though is still alive and well.
Silverberg on the otherhand is guilty as charge and the right call was made
Uhhh do you even watch hockey buddy or are you watching something else? This has been mentioned 100+ times already, Carey Price was out of his crease and bumped into Silf. Even if Silf bumped into Price it was incidental and not enough to warrant a no goal as contact did not prevent the goalie from making the save

Right, by the current way the rules are interpreted that type of goal is frequently disallowed. However, that is fundamentally not a 'distinct kicking motion'.

I understand the league wanting to protect goalies from players just going nuts and booting at the puck when it's under them, but these types of goals should be counted.

I watch plenty of hockey and it was clear as day. Silverberg interferes with the goalie and the refs were correct. Players need to be better aware of their surroundings because in times like that it can cost the team a game. Silverberg is a rookie but he will learn the NHL alot better.

bozak one is tough. I think they called it a no goal because of the right foot swinging around a bit, but it was part of his stopping motion (it was just his next step).

seems like more of a letter of the law instead of intent of the law thing.
