Wow, I can't believe these results. The biggest game of the year (in any sport) should not be affected by weather, ever. People talk about old classic games in the snow, wind, rain, mud, etc., that's great. The Super Bowl should only be held in places that have nice weather that time of year, or anyplace with a dome. I don't want the biggest game of the year decided in a blizzard.

What are the chances of snow in New York on Super Bowl Sunday compared to rain in Miami?

The fact that New York area has yet to host a Super Bowl is mind boggling. It's the largest TV market in the US and has a rich football history.

I also think Soldier Field should host a Super Bowl despite being a cold climate city.

They always were played in the cold weather NFL cities.

Why did it stop? Because it became more about money than it did the game.

Bring back the cold weather Super Bowls for good. If people don't like it, too bad.

What are you talking about?

What cities on this list are cold weather cities, other than ones with a dome?

I guess I was thinking of playoffs - Fruedian slip I guess.

But I still think they should be played in the elements.

Playing the championship in a cold weather city in an outdoor venue works well on the north side of the 49th just fine!

Bring it on I say!

Speaking as someone in the ny/nj area. You would not believe how pansy arsed the media are about the weather. As of now the weather talk on sports radio is overtaking any game talk. Hopefully this changes closer to game time. Shove your polar vortex. It's winter, man up

In what months did the Packers host all those championship games? Not late January, that's for sure. So I see good arguments on both sides, but, still, I like the idea. It seems more in the spirit of the game to let weather be an unknown variable every four or five years.
