We really haven't had a good one in forever. Who was the last truly elite Giant LB? LT is all that comes to mind.

He's promising, but not nearly that good.

Carson, Banks, Pierce, Johnson, Armstead were all great LB's. Obviously not LT level but definitely up there in Giants all-time LB's.

And old school. Sam Huff.

I like how the Giants went from having one of the best LB of all-time to never being able to reliably fill the position and turning it over nearly every season.

Then again.. 2 SBs per strategy

Eh, I remember when Brad VanPelt and Brian Kelley played. They were pretty good, too.

van pelt is one of those guys who could timewarp to present day and still play at a high level in this league, might be the most underrated giants defender ever.

I was offered Cobb for Fitzgerald. Cobb is rated better but I don't know what to do. I'm not sure I want to do it. Any suggestions?

I would do it if you're getting Cobb.

I wouldn't. Fitzgerald has a real QB back there this season. Not a revolving door of 2nd and 3rd stringers. When he has a halfway decent QB, he's good for 1250 + 8 or better.

He's way more proven than Cobb who picked up 6 of his 8 TD's in a 4 week stretch last season. Aside from that stretch, he had 2 TDs in 11 games.

Just my view. Fitzgerald is a stud and is going to have a good year this year.

Cobb is the #1 WR on one of the top offenses in the league.

I love Fitz too but I think Cobb has a better season.

Just a philosophy I have when it comes to fantasy. I rarely ever take unproven players. Cobb has played 2 years and hasn't put up 1000 yards yet. Plus Rodgers spreads the ball around so anyone on that team can emerge as a #1 as the year goes on.

Cobb caught just under 80% of his targets last year which was among the best in the NFL.

I'd say 80/954/8 TDs as a 2nd year WR is proving yourself

I'm avoiding Fitz this year. I had him the past two years and disappointment doesn't even begin to describe him.

that makes no sense. the one year he has a capable QB you are going to avoid him?

here are some of the QBs he has had the past 2 years:

Kevin Kolb
John Skelton
Ryan Lindley
Bryan Hoyer

some real all stars there. Palmer is nothing great but he throws a TON and puts up yards.

I know it makes no sense.

I just would rather not let him kill my fantasy 3 years in a row

Too many bad memories, ESPECIALLY in one of my non-PPR leagues. I'd rather let me someone else ruin me haha

probably still look into him but only if I can get him later than he usually goes. I've taken him as early as the second round in recent years in larger leagues.

I also like watching the games for players I pick and god damn I can't stand to watch the Cards anymore

If it was a game that meant anything, I doubt the Giants would have gone for that one. Oh well, it's preseason.

Giants look like they usually do.

Alternate between looking great for a few pays and looking absolutely terrible for a few plays.

Ronde Barber got the job Tiki always wanted? Sheesh..
