Phoenix Coyotes - Assigned center Kiel McLeod and right wing
Fredrik Sjostrom to Springfield of the American Hockey League.

Spiller looks like the soul survivor.

I anticipate that Simpson will get picked off tomorrow and Phoenix will pick up another D because of the Helmer injury and expected 3 month recovery period. Spiller will play the minimum allowed games with Phoenix without putting his rookie status in jeopardy.

I hope Spiller doesn't get intimidated by the NHLers and stands his ground. That's what the kid's game is all about: brute force, agitation, and intimidation. Man, I hate him! But like I've said before, wish he were on my team.

It was only a matter of time before Spiller saw NHL ice this season, considering how thin our depth is there. He may pull an Ossi and just play so well that you CAN'T take him out...I believe Vaananen was 20 as well when he burrowed his way into the lineup for good.

Taffe is only there until the injuries clear up, and also Taffe was somewhat expected to make the team.

Spiller was a surprise, as would have many of the other younger players.

i'm surprised that spiller gets to stay as they say d men need extra seasoning.sending taffe down would be a mistake for this offencively challenged unit.

the yotes 25 man roster will feature a variety of injured players over the next while, till they better establish who they can send down, or at least who their not going to be sending down.

my guess would be...naz
taffe
cleary in that order from the offence.
