Didn't the Rangers do something similar to that against the Flyers a couple games ago?

Everyone went to the boards leaving Giroux (I believe) all alone in the middle of the ice.

Gotta love the awareness of the goalie, too. He's looking at the back of every jersey in front of him, but still thinks pointing at the open guy with his stick is going to help.

Rangers have been doing that a lot this season I should clarify... Dan Girardi has been going over to the boards where McDonagh is trying to get the puck. Yes, 5 guys on the ice and we need ALL of them on the boards!!!

Where are the other Canes and the other Leaf player? Hanging out at the blue line?

Timonen. Had a pretty nice shot past Lundqvist.

That's pretty bad. I bet the coach shook his head after watching the game tapes.

Holzer (#55) making us proud!

The Leafs D have had a merry-go-round of crappy D. Kostka, Franson, Komisarek, Fraser, Holzer all making their rounds. One game its one guy, the next its another. Maybe I should be asking why Liles and Holzer (first time paired together) are out there against Staal's line

It does remind me of mites/squirts, where the kids all follow the puck around the ice like a swarm of little helmeted bees. It's kinda cute, but not at the NHL level.

When I heard J.Staal got his first goal, I went online to watch it.

I have to admit, I was laughing the entire time when he was standing there all by himself for 10 seconds.

It was during a penalty kill, though I don't remember who was supposed to be covering in front. I think it was Halpern.

But yeah they left Timmonen uncovered and the Flyers won the puck and got it to him

Call me crazy, but it looks like only one player (Grabovski) is really out of position.

Depends on the system obviously but the majority would have Holzer staying in front of the next there covering the slot, with Grabo supporting the puck as he is.

Yeah, that would work too. Depends on how the coach wants his D and C to cover each other.

Anyway, it's one guy making the group look bad.

Thing I laughed at most was what you see in the video. Puck kinda slowly slides out under a Leafs players legs and right to a Cane.

Those 6'4 centres are easy to lose in front of the net...

Reminds of playing hockey before the age of 10 when everyone would just puck chase all the time.

I think the Leafs were a little thrown by the botched icing call, but it was still a complete joke to leave him standing alone in front of the net like that.

And not only did they leave him wide open, they lost a 4v2 puck battle.

The crazy thing is even with all those players over there the Leafs still lost the puck battle.

Grabovski's "great defense" is so overrated.
