Brian Boyle + for D

Looking like Callahan will be back tonight with JT Miller and Chris Kreider as a line.

Brian Boyle looks to be scratched. If Miller and Kreider prove they belong in the NHL Rangers may look to move Boyle and his 1.7 M contract along with a depth D man like Eminger and say a 3rd rounder for ideally a top 4 Dman or a 5/6 type. A spare forward would come back for depth too.

So what's the value of Boyle, Eminger and a 3rd?

Boyle > Boyle, Eminger and a 3rd

Eminger is poop and a 3rd is a dime a dozen.

ok so send poop back for Eminger, Rangers will only need a depth F

the 3rd is not bad as its gotten plenty of rental types in the past. Fristric just went for one to Edmonton

The basis is Boyle at 1 yr left at 1.7 for a good Dman, likely 1 yr left on his deal at similar money. Maybe a UFA if its the right guy and a top 4

Hello Sir,

May I have a moment to talk about Jesus?

No seriously Ballard for Boyle with a mid to late round pick on either side for balance

Well Ballard makes too much for too long for the Rangers to be interested . If they are moving 1.7 in Boyle they could add around the same contract for next yr, maybe slightly more but not Ballard at 4 mil or so. NYR needs to make sure they can resign McDonaugh ,Hagelin ,Stepan as RFA which is doable but only if they dont add a ton more onto next yrs payroll

How about Boyle for kaberle or webber and mid pick? I know it is not much, but the potential of webber on a good team is very intriguing

Vitto, if you are thinking about Boyle, the answer is probably chicago black hawks, unless we want to bundle Boyle with Stepan and look for a serious upgrade on the open market.

For BB alone, could see straight up for Dylan Olsen.... or maybe add and get Olsen + a C prospect.

That is just too funny.

No to Kaberle + mid pick for Boyle.
Counter: Weber + Eller + mid pick for Boyle.
You can reunite Boyle and Prust. They play a good shutdown pair on the 3rd line.

I don't think we'd move Boyle for a rental like Leopold.

What about Sekera?

If Sekera is moved, which I doubt he will be with his great contract, it would be in a package deal for a bigger piece. Boyle is a clear downgrade from Sekera in terms of value, so I don't see Buffalo doing something based around the two unless it's Boyle and another piece(s) of significant value.

how about McBain, Nodl for Boyle, Eminger?

Not sure what the Rangers are thinking but I would think they would not want a rental for Boyle however if I am wrong Leopold is a good fit

Whitney is a UFA no? again if they go for a rental its not a bad idea. Maybe if the Oilers offer Paajarvi in the deal too NYR are interested.

No to Kaberle since he has another yr or two on his deal at way too much. He;s going to be a buyout likely

Some descent names being thrown out though.

Eminger would be too much of a downgrade from McBain. McBain simply has way more value than that.

I'd rather have an improvement at center coming back than another D-man.

I'd deal Eller for Boyle, with maybe a conditional pick tossed in...
