This will be the hardest one yet. Can't give the most obvious clue though or it will be easy.
1. I have played for 8 NHL teams.
2. The shortest tenure of any team I was with came with the Devils.
3. I was drafted the same year as Sergei Brylin
4. I've played for 4 teams in the atlantic division.
5. I ended my career in the AHL.
Shoulda said ''Was drafted with one of the 4 players who played on all 3 cup teams'' rather than Brylin. How did you get that so fast? Someone posted a video in one of the other threads with him in it for the Pens, and that's what gave me the idea to do him.

1 game for the NHL Devils!
I looked up Brylin on Hockey Reference.com then clicked the draft year and scrolled through the draft until I saw an ex-Devil that 'might' qualify. I remembered he was in our system and played with the Rangers too but I had no idea he played for so many teams lol

Dammit I knew I should have said he was drafted with either Marty, Stevens, Dano, Niedermayer, or Brylin. One of the 5 players on all 3 cup teams!

Same thing I did, except I just picked from the purple links I had from looking up previous ones. Same idea, but I had a shorter list to go through
1. I've played for 7 NHL teams.
2. I ended my career with a team that was recently revived for the 2012-2013 season.
3. I've been in one Stanley Cup final, but have never won a Cup.
4. I was traded to every team I played for except the Devils and my last NHL team.
5. I was undrafted.
I'll take a shot. I'll try to make it as vague as possible:
1. I played a total of 3 NHL games.
2. I won the Calder Cup.
3. I won the Stanley Cup.
4. I played exactly 13 minutes in my only playoff game.
5. I have 2 shots on goal in my whole NHL career.

What was the 'obvious' clue, that he played with the Rangers/Devils/Isles? There are only a small number of players that have done that I suppose.
That, and the fact he played just 1 game for the Devils. He's also the president, and GM of the Blainville-Boisbriand of the QMJHL. Isn't there where Matteau was playing?

Using the assumption that #2 was during the time the Patrick Division actually existed 1974 - 1993? Yes or no? And whatever team in question was part of the division at the time?

Mike Rupp.
Drafted twice was a giveaway.
Earlier confusion to me... a "Patrick Division" team could be any of NYI/NYR/NJD/PIT/PHI, also Washington, BUT also Calgary/Atlanta... and technically, to be drafted by a Patrick Division team would have been between '74-93 by one of those teams when they were in the division. I'm A-R enough to get caught up on the technicalities.
1. I played for two NHL teams.
2. I played for five professional teams (counting abroad).
3. Two of those teams were in my last year of my playing career.

6. I won a trophy overseas that I share with two ex-Devils who also played the same position as me.
7. I participated in one Olympics, finishing fourth.
