Cleary = Inge

But at least Inge was good defensively.

So because Lundquist is playing bad that makes him a bad goalie?

Didn't know goalies or players weren't allowed to go through slumps.

Not sure what game you're watching. Kipprusoff's robbed a couple of chances.

Glad we stat our first round pick for our undrafted defensiveman defenseman who can't play defense
You're going to blame that on Lashoff?

He didn't stop the pass, no, but Kronwall let Iginla score while falling down, and Howard decided to go swimming.

Got a guy with no goals through eight games on our garbage PP. Instead of a younger, more offensively gifted player in Tatar.

Somebody please tell me what Mike Babcock sees in Dan Cleary?

There's not a good reason in this world why he plays the amount of minutes he does every night.

Was thinking that too. And it would probably actually have the stats to show for it if it had the offensive talent on the back-end to match it.

That third line would be a whole hell lot better if it was

Nyquist-Gator-Bert

Can't have two slow and old players and gator on the same line.

I'm currently stuck at work so I can't watch this one but I'm one for two in predictions, that 100& SURELY Iginla would net his first goal against us. It's not even playing the odds, ha, was joking earlier with a friend that both TOR and DET would lose their games against the conferences bottom feeders. It's still pretty early though, so hoping the Wings show come kick back and take it to CGY the rest of the way.

As mentioned above though, it does seem 98% of the offense is generated directly through either Dats or Zetts. Now would be a killer time for a goal, even a single goal to be scored by someone on the bottom six. Noticed Tootoo's fight, did he get hurt though? Didn't see it but noticed he only has 1:01 TOI on the stat line.

Man is Kronwall brutal. He was directly responsible for both of those goals. For those playing along he's been on the ice for 12 of the last 15 goals against. We should only have him on the ice in the offensive zone.

When Babcock said the other day Cleary's "number one skill" is "his skating" I thought for sure he had lost his mind completely.

If you drop Cleary, then you have no one who can stand in front of the net. You want at least someone who can stand in front of the net, no matter how terrible he is. At 5'10", Tatar isn't going to be able to stand in front of the net.

Don't forget mindfly thought Ty Conklin should have been the starting goalie last season.

This is going to blow your mind, but you don't need someone to stand in front of the net 24/7 to have an effective powerplay.

In fact, if you look at how the Wings are doing it, you're pretty much looking for an example of how NOT to run a powerplay. Look at the more successful teams. They have intelligent, situational netfront presence.

Why aren't you GMing and simultaneously coaching an NHL at the same time. Clearly you're capable of it.
