Where does MacArthur fit?

Has anyone else noticed that Carlyle is doing whatever he can to insert Mac into a top 9 line? The guy has been brutal this year and is continuously getting opportunities handed to him that he doesn't deserve. For the second straight night, Carlyle broke up a successful, productive line in order to try MacArthur there and he failed again.

Against the Hurricanes, Mac slotted in with Kulemin and Grabovski. This broke up our shutdown line of McClement-Grabo-Kulemin and broke up the best defensive and also offensively productive line.

Tonight, Carlyle separated the Komarov-Kadri-Frattin line to give MacArthur a shot and again he was pathetic. Mac was constantly pushed off the puck and made quite a few errant passes that hurt this line, where Komarov was providing a defensive game, grit and opening up the ice for his linemates.

How many more chances will he get before he's placed on the 4th line or in the press box?

Mac sucks. I've been saying it since the start of the season. This guy doesn't fit any role on this team and should be traded for a defensive veteran dman or draft pick depending on whether or not we are sellers at the deadline. I think a team like SJ would offer up their 1st.

I don't like him any more. Does nothing good. Bad shot, bad defensively, average playmaker, not physical

He's still a good playmaker.

I'd see him working perfectly alongside Neal-Malkin tbh

I doubt anyone would hand out their 1st rnd pick for mac even if it is the SJS. Next years draft is supposed to be deep.

Remember when people would say he was good defensively? Or that he was better than Kadri?

He doesn't fit. If we can get a draft pick for him, it's an avenue worth pursuing.

I don't think he fits. Move him + a defenseman for an upgrade somewhere, please.

He doesnt fit. He is another Leaf who doesnt show up most nights. I think he lacks puck skills, lacks IQ. I like when he forechecks hard and hits but the body cant handle it.

In hindsight now, Im not impressed with his monkey off his back gesture? He seems to have disappeared since then. Is that all he expects of himself is one goal? Where did he go since then. I think he has 3 monkeys on his back now.

We need something like the Phaneuf deal right now.

Trade Franson, Mac, Bozak and a prospect for Bouwmeester... Calgary keeps 2 mil on their cap.

Phaneuf-Bouwmeester
Liles-Gunnar
Gardiner-Komi/Kostka/Holzer

No thanks. That would be the most overpaid pairing in the league.

Never understood how he got an "A" this season.

Drop him to the Marlies and bring up Conolly.

If we can get a 4th (conditional 3rd) for Lombardi, this is the minimum we can get for Mac.

I have no problem giving his spot for other guys like Hamilton.

The finger is still probably bothering him.
Mac will find his way back with Grabo and Kuli.
How quickly we forget

Where does McArthur fit? He doesn't. Why does he even have an 'A'?

Trade him, package him, wave him, fire him, demote him to the minors, attack him, enslave him, do anything but play him. He adds nothing to the team.
