Yeah. You can feel it in certain situations.

Example of one:

Notice that Derek Engelland has a good grip and isn't spinning in circles throwing wildly with his eyes closed. Rinaldo's in the exact opposite situation.

It was a fight. Someone got knocked the **** out. It happens. Who cares? Don't tangle if you aren't willing to get lit up.

Late punches. Anyone who has actually been in a fight knows when you catch someone solid. You can feel it in your hand and in their body. It essentially relaxes them instantly.

Fighters other than the dickbags like Rinaldo almost always stop punching. And to call this a revenge fight is asinine. It just makes no sense as it was Schenn that sought the fight with a guy who last fought in 2009. Crombeen sent a message without fighting Giroux, that it isn't ok to go fighting stars unless you're stars are fair game as well.

this. Rinaldo is mic'd up and the ref told him he did nothing wrong. so all you whiners please ****. it's a non issue.

It's because its not in the rule book yet, sure they could call roughing blahblahblah...But it will take a specific rule for refs to be given the initiative. Eventually it will come, but it will take either a star player getting smoked or a fighter will get seriously injured as a result of a late punch. And yes it is an issue, we need to preserve our game to one of honor.

Totally agree, a player HAS to be able to know what he is doing every punch that he takes. Otherwise they might as well be psychopaths that keep swinging until they are stopped, and as we see tonight...that's usually way to late. That is not acceptable outside of a cage

So everyone hates the refs until they happen to say something that coincides with their own view?

Hate to pull this card, but for anyone who has been in a hockey fight, that's a huge no-no. And if you're argument is that you "lose control", there are some much more important issues at play.

It definitely hurts the tough guy image the Flyers like to broadcast if they need to fight just because Giroux gets hit...

everyone realizes that they were in a fight right?

a fight.

just checking. from some of these comments i thought they were playing "shot for shot" or something, not engaging in an actual fight.

as an impartial fan to both teams, perhaps Crombeen should stop fighting if he has a problem getting punched. although I suspect he will be ok with how everything that happened (aside from getting KO'd)

Real classy there Vinny.

That was 10x more obvious that than the Rinaldo one (which never happened).

Bush league.

Vinny definitely just hit Talbot late, while he was actually on the ice, not while he was going down.

Well, Lecavalier just punched Talbot when he was on his back at the end of the fight. Guess he's dirtier than Rinaldo now.

The first person to compare the two fights earns a spot as worst poster of the year.
