Other good news: The Rags lost, Buffalo is going to lose, Florida has a chance of winning and now Philly needs to lose.
Good night for us to move up in the standings!

It's okay. No top pick can ever replace what Ovechkin used to do for them.
He has gone from being a superstar to an overpaid 9.5M winger and it doesn't look like he is coming back.

To be fair though, it was all started on BS call on Kadri. Ref should stop it. It's hockey, not ballet.
PS. I was surprised they did not call Dion on that hit and call it boarding.

Should've been a 3-1 victory anyway, because that call on Kadri was pure BS.

'Play the kids" I always say..
Rookie Holzer plays while vet Komisarek sits.
Game winning goal on his stick.. You have to love it when a plan comes together.

Didn't get to watch the game but, aside form the two assists, how did Kessel look?

So we're 4-1 on the road? only if we can improve our record at home.
Bring on the Atlanta Thrashers on Thursday.

All of this 9th place today, 10th place tomorrow, 8th place Saturday stuff is scaring the hell out of me.
Leafs finish 9th, get #1 overall pick...

Kadri looked good. That pass to Frattin was a beauty. Taking it hard to the net. Take notes Kessel.

This team needs the Gardiner of last year in a big way. Really liked Holzer tonight, and Frattin was an absolute beast tonight.

I'd trade Ovi for Kessel + Gardiner.

Someone should pull Grabovski aside and tell him stick handling through 4 opposing players is a TERRIBLE IDEA.

Hypothetically speaking, what if Kessel goes 20 games without scoring? He's already half way there...and the way Kessel is he gets so down.
I assume they will take him behind the rink and shoot him

Personally too much of a gamble for me, however Gardiner straight up I would roll the dice on.
Imagine that happened, then the trade break down would be
Francois Beachemin for Lupul and Ovechkin

Kulemin doesnt know how to find open ice. He is a great forechecker, and great along the boards. But during cycles or on a rush, he does not know how to get to open ice. If he could, he would score more, cause his shot is pretty good.
