i understand that.. they are not playing as good as they should.. but hall and ebs still have 9 and 7 pts in 9 games.. not to shabby for not playing that great. They will break out eventually... they need to simplify and just get the puck on net instead of always looking to pass the puck into the goal with the perfect play.

Of course I could just be delusional.

edit...

Hordi on the 3rd line? Ya I'm probably delusional.. but still say Oilers 6-2
Where did you see that?

They said they didn't change the 2nd and 4th lines at all. Smyth moved to the wing with Hordi on the wing. I still think though that the "fourth" line will end up the night with more ice time.

What the heck does unrelated mean other than he hurt his other shoulder?

we need to start cloning shoulders in some remote lab.

Then maybe you should temper your expectations back to a reasonable level.

There were a couple bunched there together with Sid, and Ovi but some of them take a little while to get going full steam. This year is realistically supposed to be a year for general improvement, but not anything special. Next year you'll probably start to see the flashes of that, with a playoff appearance added on. The year after that is when you should start expecting us to blow teams up on the regular.
I get it. Tired of sitting down to watch the Oil with the feeling of "no chance" of victory.
Blaming refs, unlucky bounces, fatigue and injury is getting old.Fast.
My Brother (not a huge hockey fan) was in Phoenix for the game a few days ago.. i was telling him " you gotta watch" 4,93,14,19,83....... Total Dud show.

I mention this because its uncharacteristic of the kid but happened multiple times this season and I'm surprised nobody else caught it. RNH for whatever reason was playing with fear. I would bank on it being fear that the next hit elicits major injury. Which if true begs the question what was he doing out there?
I've noticed and thought the exact same thing this season.

Tends to be the case with Phoenix Coyotes games.

I hate to be a negative nancy here, but we're playing without out top 3 centers. is there any conceivable way we win this game?

I'm a pessimist, but despite the injuries I'm still feeling a win tonight. This team has a questionable work ethic on many nights, but with the injuries I think they will play a bit harder than usual. Playing with Arco instead of RNH may actually help Hall and Eberle simplify their games a bit. Teams are often able to rally (in the short term) when key players get hurt.

I just want a solid effort, I don't even mind losing... What I don't want to see is us getting out shot and out worked. It's been hard to even take positives from our wins this season. Hoping this is the game the guys bounce back and show they can carry a game.... Very interested to see Arcobello play.

Arcobello to play with Hall and Eberle. Smyth to centre Hordichuk and Petrell. RNH is a shoulder issue but unrelated to previous one.

Honestly not sure that makes me feel better.

Stars Lines:

Brenden Morrow - Jamie Benn - Jaromir Jagr
Loui Eriksson - Derek Roy - Michael Ryder
Reilly Smith - Cody Eakin - Tomas Vincour
Eric Nystrom - Vern Fiddler - Antoine Roussel

Brenden Dillon - Stephane Robidas
Aaron Rome - Trevor Daley
Jamie Oleksiak - Philip Larsen

Kari Lehtonen

Good luck tonight! I always love watching Eberle, Hall, and Yakupov play...especially Yakupov.

Sucks that RNH is out. I love watching him play too.

In my opinion, we need to be throwing the puck at the net a little more. We can go on a nice streak of cycling and passing, but if were not generating shots then whats the point? Throw it at net and get a couple of garbage goals.

And most definitely we want to be sitting RNH. Give him rest. He will soon find his touch. All of them will so I'm not throwing the white towel in yet.

I still think the Oil find a way to win this game though.

With all due respect... That back end does not scare me at all. But good luck all the same.

Other than Robidas and Rome, it's not too horrific.

It's not. It's still better than ours, but your top 6 looks very dangerous.

As for the game, is it just me, or is anyone else kinda pumped to see Hall-Arco-Eberle again?

Oh? you're saying you want Nuge back?

But you were saying he has no touch yesterday...

But this line was better than the Hall-Nuge-Ebs line in the A...

Maybe he needs some time of...

Okay. I'll stop now! Jeez. Some of you guys are incredibly judgemental!

Get Well Soon, Nuge.

If surgery is what RNH needs I hope Hall convinces him to get it done sooner rather than later. Hes still young n can rehab faster. Maybe not this year but its okay
