There was just a gust of wind that shook my house. Wow. That scared the **** out of me.

The wind direction is shifting, too.

I just shoveled my stairs and walkway to the street. Holy hell is it heavy. I had to change from getting demolished by snow.

God what a lazy day. I started it off with an ambitious list of things to do, but all I've done is hang out with my kids, nephews, and friends, play a ton of records & CDs, sing off-key, drink, post on hf, eat, and drink again. I've done not a lick of shoveling today, and expect to awake under an ice cap of Greenlandian proportions.

Just got home. Main street wasn't bad, though I was behind first a car then a truck that were slewing around like mad. My street is unplowed but my Cherokee laughs at unplowed streets. Bwahahaha.

Sounds nice...I'm an ideal tenant. I live with my girlfriend but were both quiet, never complain, pets make no noise, always pay on time, no kids and were both either always working or if she isn't shes at school..And they still want to raise my rent yearly...All about the $$$$ (what isn't?). Def not re-upping this lease after it ends. Theres gotta be plenty of cheaper options around.

Dog was scratching at the door to go out, so I decided to give it a go and prove to him that it's a bad idea. Open the door and he makes a dash towards the front yard. He hauls ass and gets five feet off the front porch, disappears in the snow, then scampers back into the house. I hate to say I told ya so pup, but I told ya so.

Fire engine just drove by

Parts of the storm dropping 4-6 inches per hour in CT, which may be heading towards Providence and then our way. And here I was, thinking 1 inch per hour was a decent amount...

friend of mine out plowing just posted this.

"Out plowing and there's trees down on roads taking out powerlines everywhere sounds like fireworks with the transformers blowing up, crank your heat up if you haven't lost power yet cause you will!"

Just saw that too. That is what caused vehicles to get stuck on highways and roads in 78. It was impossible to plow and impossible to see. People actually died while stranded.

We haven't lost power yet... but we will. My town always loses power in storms like this.

me too!! I'm worried far more about the wind then the snow.

I'm in Manchester, NH and we haven't seen too much of either yet; I don't even think we have 6 inches of snow right now; but it sounds like the wind is picking up!!

And people wonder why they banned driving....Your absolutely insane to go out in this....I can't even see the streets anymore, plows aren't running, no one on the road. Its just too much, too fast...Way too dangerous. People shouldn't be out there right now.

I'm just thankful to still have my power. Snow is falling faster and faster and its HEAVY and wet. This isn't one of those storms blown out of proportion, its serious. And getting more serious by the minute.

Stay safe everyone.

Yeah. Scary part is that peak hours of 10:00 to 6:00 are still hours away.

Going to be one helluva night coming.

I noticed tickets to tomorrows game nearly doubled in price. They had 35$ balcony seats at one point yesterday, now pushing 80$
