He had a interesting interview with Dan Wood on the radio before the game started. He was talking about how much faith BB has in him playing this position and how BB is letting him be a little more offensive as a center. He also said that BB told him he wants him at center long term and how it's great that your coach has long term plans for you with the team. Bobby said he really wants to do good at this for the team. It seems like BB has really helped Bobby feel good about his role on this team and Bobby is thriving from it.
His defensive play has improved tremendously every game it gets better, he'll get rewarded with points soon
I would like Etem to either cut across the net, shoot sooner, or see the guy trailing him. He keeps streaking down the wing and not doing anything with it.
I believe that this was a knock on Etem in junior, that he would look to use his speed and strength to fly down the wing time after time and needed to work on his vision and decision making. There's no denying the kid can fly, and hopefully he learns to a thing or two from Teemu about changing speeds. Selanne is easily one of, if the not the best winger I've seen as far as his decision making and vision when entering the zone. He has an amazing knack for recognizing whether to try something off the rush or to slow things down and establish a cycle.

He looks a bit like Spezza out there, he's certainly been fearless offensively.

nice, thanks for that info as i didnt catch that interview....i have always wanted bobby at C but it seemed as if he was disinterested/confused...if anyone can make a C out of bobby i have a lot of faith in BB, especially him being a C in his day

the coaching staff wants him to keep it simple, he's going to play a north/south game

I'm sure that's the biggest factor. The green light will come as he gains trust. With that speed and strength he can be an effective role player now, and develop the offensive game as he goes.
