I didn't realize that was so recent. I thought he was a JFjr pickup.

He looks good. I think he'll be a solid depth defenseman but I have higher hopes for Holzer

pleasantly surprised with his skating and poise with the puck. he's much better at winning and moving the puck than Komi ever was.

Same. I kept seeing people criticize his skating around here though. He may not be quick or fast but I think he can definitely skate well

What hw lacks in skating he makes up for with a smart stick (thanks Pierre) he keeps it in front of him is good at moving the puck and takes care of the front of the net. Oppositions players know when he is in the corners with them.

Mark Faser +5 in a 5-2 win
Brett Lebda -3 in a 9-3 win

Progress.

Bump, if there was a highlight in losing to Carolina, it was this for me. Great hit Fraser.

And Franson has proven himself to be a top 4 guy on the bottom pairing.

As soon as we got him (for Dale mitchell, underrated burke move) I knew it was just a matter of time before he was replacing someone in our lineup. He's mean, good size, good character, doesn't handle the puck like a hand grenade, and the best part? He won't cost you anywhere near 4.5 million.

And to add to that, love that he blocks shots at will. Also clears the front of the net on a consistent basis while sticking up for teammates night in and night out. Notice with the addition of orr, maclaren and fraser guys like Phaneuf don't have to fight anymore. They can focus on doing what they are best at.

Nevermind the fact that Carlyle likes to throw out the Orr line when he is on the ice. It's like he is daring the other team to try and pin us in our own end.

Fraser has no role on this team long-term.
so the guy that is +11 has no place on this team? REALLY? you sure about that?
