Heatherington is REALLY BPA there for Anaheim? I don't think so.
Maybe not a sexy pick but Heatherington is looking like a solid player. Good in all facets of the game.

Like the Stars' pick. Big fan of RR and I think he's a great pick at #11.
Yeah, I'm not sure it will actually happen but quite often there's a late birthday guy who's leaving people wanting more. Monahan seems to fit the bill with an average WJC camp and average top prospects game.

Probably would've said something a bit harsher, but I don't think anyone saw Grigorenko, Forsberg, Faksa, TT, etc. falling as far as they did last year, or Couturier, etc. in 2011.
I do agree though, in that if anyone's gonna fall, it'll be him.
But I feel like there's a top 6 group here with MacKinnon, Jones, Barkov, Drouin, Monahan, and Lindholm, and I'd be quite surprised to see any of them fall out of the top 6.
Also, highly doubt Buffalo would take a winger, unless you're really sold on Shinkaruk. Obviously it's BPA at that point, but you could argue that Pulock, RR, and Morrissey are similar caliber prospects who fill a much bigger need for Buffalo.
I have yet included him in my rankings as I don't have enough info on USHS kids yet. So, I left him out of my mock as well. Not so much because I don't think he's gonna go in the top 2 rounds. In fact, pretty sure he ends up being a first rounder at the draft.

I'd be surprised as well if he gell to 10 but hey, let's make things interesting a bit here
I wasn't sure where to go for Buffalo. With guys like Ehroff, Myers, Sekera, Pysyk and McNabb and even JGL I didn't feel like Buffalo was in dire need for a d-man either and I thought Shinkaruk was BPA there. Offensively they still have to sign guys like Vanek, Stafford and Pominville in upcoming years, so they get some options there with Shinkaruk.

I can agree with this, but I think it'll come down to who is picking.. If it's Philly picking, like above, I would almost expect them to take a dman over Monahan/Lindholm (assuming those are the two left).

While Erne makes sense for the Canucks given our recent penchant for drafting power forwards, I would much rather take Nichushkin, who has 3 inches on Erne as well as(imo) having a higher ceiling. The Canucks need to start drafting more on potential than on simply the "safe" picks, if we are to have a chance to get premier talent to eventually replace the Sedins.
Not sure why your one of few who has Jesse Lees on Radar...but the kid is hot right now...offense is picking up and still near top of +/- . Youngest kid in 2013 draft.
Glad to see once again.

I doubt that Buffalo would go for a small winger and then a goalie. If Monahan is available then he would be taken or else a stud defensive defenceman like Zadarov or Nurse. With Makarov and Umark still in junior they would look to the bpa not a goalie here-a d man if they picked Monahan, a forward if they picked a d man in the first. Of course Buffalo will end up picking 13th and 43rd......
For Montreal, Muller, De La Rose and Hartman would be great picks but I think I wold prefer either Bailey, Dickinson and especially Wennberg over Desrosiers.
I like Duclair a lot at 28 for the Sharks, but I don't want Jordan Subban very much. I can't think of who's missing, but if some of those players you have in the mid-late second start falling (Wennberg, Horvat, De La Rose, Burakovsky, Dunn, Compher, Buchnevich), I'd love to see Doug Wilson trade up in the 2nd. He's shown he's not afraid of doing that.
Good call on Isles taking Lazar.....They love taking teamates of thie High draft picks.....
Tavares- de Haan and DeHart
Strome- Theoret and Grahrm?
Reinhart- Lazar???
Math, did thhat have a factor for them picking Lazar? or did you just feel he was BPA?
I would personally pick Nurse or Zadorov over him but I would not be mad if he was the pick
Im more upset that WAS would get Jones and Fucale....Thats just not fair
sorry for not checking back on the thread. Yes that was part of the thought behind having Lazar to the Isles. Especially since most people who follow the Oil Kings seem to fall in love with Lazar, so I'm guessing NYI scouts will see the same in Lazar. Plus he fits the group of prospects they have, hard-working guy with skills.
