[LAK/NJD] Andrei Loktionov to Devils for 2013 5th Round Pick
See ya Lotki, wish we could've gotten more for you but it happens. Hope you can become a full time NHL'er in NJ.. Or maybe not because we traded you for scraps.
No surprise to see him traded finally. He had no hope in L.A. anyway.
Pretty cheap price for the Devils so good trade for them. He should get an opportunity in the NHL there. We'll be able to see what he can do if given the chance.

If it's really for a 5th than Sather's a jackass. Our forward depth is all kinds of messed up right now.
Or maybe LA didn't want to give a possible NHL roster player to a fellow Stanley Cup contender and would rather give it to NJ who are less of a threat than NY is.. That is of course assuming the Kings can put it back together.
Hard to imagine a team like Columbus for example (there are multiple potential examples) who is thin up front both on the NHL roster and in the prospect pool wouldn't have beaten a 5th.

That's a WHOLE lot more speculation than me just assuming Sather didn't want him.

This argument would hold some weight if you hadn't just played the Devils in the Stanley Cup Finals.
Lombardi's pretty good at pissing away young, talented forwards in the system. First Holloway and Moller(if you count him, I know some wouldn't), now Loktionov.
