Eller dings the twins on Price in warmups

When the coach asked me if I wanted to play goal as a child I declined. This is one reason why.

TIMBER!!!

ahahaha

That's why I preferred playing street hockey with the ball over the puck. It was a lot harder to stop but the consequences were not as severe.

How could you play street hockey with a rubber puck?

I remember seeing a goalie with a steel cup way back in the day and it had dents in it. That was all the discouragement I needed to play goalie. Plus their dayum skates don't have an edge and are such klodhoppers.

Those ****** street hockey pucks were alright on a tennis court. Did not want to take a shot to the nuts though.

I definitely thought it was Eller chirping the Sedins or something of that sort based on the title.

At least it was Al MacInnis takin the shot

"Apparently he didn’t ease up too much against his own teammates, either. With the St. Louis Blues, MacInnis unleashed a drive that hit goalie Rich Parent in precisely the wrong place during the warm-up prior to a game versus Edmonton. Parent underwent emergency surgery after suffering a “scrotal contusion and ruptured testicle.” He missed 11 games."

Because you don't shoot at the goalies nutsack or head during warmup, you shoot along the ice for the pads or up high in the corners for the gloves to get them moving. NHL players are good enough to aim their shots properly

I used to get mad at my old teammates during warmup because they would come down thinking they were Datsyuk trying to deke me when I wasn't warmed up, that's how you get hurt.

If the shot had hit him in the aeb, scher it wouldn't have hurt so much. He didn't have act like he was Budajing out there though. Halak of padding in that area, I guess.

I still remember that injury from NHL 2001.

Glad to see Price appears okay.

Yeah, was playing goalie in street hockey with a cup, took a hard one in the precise place where I couldn't take it and down I went like a sack of potatoes. Hurt like a ***** because it pinned the cup against my leg with my guy in between. Apparently I made a funny face though.

And to those who ask why he's mad? It's like stubbing your toe (not pain-wise, but context-wise) you get angry because you can't believe the bad luck you just got (especially with ice hockey goalies, who probably wear two cups).

I never care about the nutsack too much. That'll just happen when you play goal enough. All I ever ask of my teammates is no dekes, no headshots. Then again, I rarely go down during warmups anyways.

I don't think he was mad at Eller anyway, was probably just because he was hurting
