Yeah, and O.Jokinen has retired from international competition on top of those names. The weakest spot, though is the defense. Timonen, Lydman, Salo and Pitkänen are the only regular Finnish NHL defensemen and only Pitkänen is closer to 30 than 40. We have more starting NHL goalies than regular defensemen. It's gonna take Hasek in 1998-caliber performance from Rinne or Lehtonen for Finland to challenge for medals.

Who is going to coach Canada, by the way? Babcock returning? Julien, Hitchcock?

Surprised to see Coburn get a mention. Not that he isn't good, but he isn't someone I'd think of when it comes to being one of the eight best Canadian defensemen.

It would take a lot of luck. Russia has a handful of top level elite talent but lacks depth and has terrible defense. The US team has grit and good goaltending but doesn't have enough elite level talent. Sweden would be the best bet to beat Canada but matching their teams up, Canada should beat them 9 out of 10 times. Czech Repub doesn't have elite talent and has a terrible defense.

He is, has has dual citizenship since his mother is American even though he was born and raised in Canada, he represented the US in 2008 which means he can only represent the US from now on I believe.

All they have to do is put Eberle and Tavares together. The rest is filler lol.

And anyone who doesn't think Eberle will make the team is crazy.

He is one of Hockey Canadas poster boys.

He's from Quebec but he is a dual citizen thanks to an American mother and he has played for the US in the World Championships, locking him to the US team in all IIHF competitions.

Having Kane and Benn on this team adds grit. They're fast skaters, can score and most importantly, they can hit.

You should've seen the way RDS (French TSN) flipped their **** when Marty St-Louis wasn't chosen for Team Canada in 2010. I don't always agree with them, but I did that day.

Aaron Ward taking Skinner

Only reason Skinner makes the team is to fill out the Skinner - Tavares - Eberle line from the WC's imo

Aaron Ward, Darren Pang and Bob MacKenzie made their "changes" to his team.

Aaron Ward took Benn out, put Skinner in. Darren Pang took out Ward and Coburn out and put in Luongo and Schultz, and MacKenzie took out Seguin and put on Gezlaf.

The only one that made sense there was Luongo for Ward (Though Fleury for Luongo makes more sense) and Seguin for Getzlaf. The other's made no sense, Skinner I could see making the team but not at the expense of Benn. Coburn and Schultz both won't make it so lol.

Miller shouldn't be a lock. Maybe as a backup. Quick is the starter. And maybe Thomas if he's back,

I'd take Seguin out, MSL in.
