Cizikas needs to be in there for Boulton. No excuse that he's not. You don't need him in there to fight Asham in another staged fight or whatever will happen.
I agree with you on Cizikas. I like the energy he brings to the game. I wonder why he's a scratch.
Has anyone seen any weakness in his play of late?

I think they just want a fighter in the line-up and Caps feels more comfortable with McDonald over Casey in order to put Boulton in.

I wish they'd just do the right thing already and give Reasoner his walking papers, no reason Boulton and Cizikas can't both be in, just sit Reasoner.

Reasoner has been incrementally better this year than last. That is not to say that he is any good or close to adequate that he had been earlier in his career. He has lost something and can do nothing more than win some faceoffs. I would rather have kept Konopka to do that and fight some, hit some, be a sparkplug.
It would not hurt by feelings at all if Reasoner sat the season out in favor of Cizikas.

This third d pairing is a major reason why people need to welcome Visnovsky with open arms. We cannot afford not to

Oiler fans have been posting, about how bad their team has been on face offs.

I suggested Reason with his 51% faceoff successs, could probably be had very cheaply. Maybe for just a late pick.

Need to stop the bleeding tonight and get the two points.

JT hat trick...4-2 Isles win, Kyle, who does well against the Rags, nets the other!

Agreed. Until then though, you... sigh... need Reasoner in the lineup.

I see JT having his first big night of the season, posting 4-5 points. Isles win 6-4.

Against the Rangers, I'd love to see that. They hate him enough already, why not add to it?

Honestly, I think we match up evenly with the Rags forward-wise, I mean their third and fourth lines are just as bad as ours. The difference though, at least for tonight, is that third defense pair. Hickey and Finley together is so bad I cannot even come up with a fitting adjective to describe it. God help us when they are on the ice. Lubo cannot get in the lineup fast enough. Wish it was tonight.

Yea $27m first line. In all honestly, I said it when the trade went down that this may hurt their team. Its too early to tell.

But Dubi and Artem weren't power scorers but they played well together as a team.

Nash has played OK but in my opinion the star power sits on paper. I have feeling NYR toys are not going to work out all to well on the ice again like all those previous years.

Once we have Vis back on Saturday, we will be scoring more.

Screw the Rag$s

Please everyone welcome HolyDiver to the boards he is a outstanding person and a helluva nice guy. Love the prediction B, but sticking with my 3-2 rags in OT or SO prediction..Here's hoping i'm wrong.

Honestly we have enough guys that can kill penalties. Grabner, Nielsen, Martin, Bailey (almost back) and Cizikas himself can all kill penalties. He's good at faceoffs, I'll give him that, other than that though, he's just taking up a roster spot.

Nothing would be sweeter than seeing Tavares crush the Rangers. I love watching the kid score, but I have always wanted one of those players that just has incredible stats against a rival.

Much like the numbers Crosby and Malkin have against the Islanders. I would love Tavares to be that kind of player against the Rangers.

However, I see Boyes, Grabner, and Ullstrom scoring and the Islanders losing this game 6-3.

Both PPs have been abysmal and I expect one of them to break out. The Rangers fire power is way to good to remain dorment for much longer. The Islanders seem to be the team that plays can break out against and I see that happening tonight.

The Garden is going to feed off the energy of Cally being back in the lineup and those kids Kreider and Miller are obviously spark plugs.
