Avs will win this game. They've already beaten them twice in this season, Flames are terrible and Kipper seems to be the only player on their team who's still interested in winning games. Also, McNabb won't stop to talk about how much pride the Avs have and how much more important ending the season on a good note than drafting first overall is. VDG with the game winning goal.
It will be horrible.
I want one of two things to happen. We lose in regulation 4-5 or we win in OT 5-4. Either way I want to see some goals scored, I'm starting to question whether our team knows which net on the rink is theirs at this point, because we spend all our time skating around ours.
Lose this game and a top 3 pick is almost assured. The Avs would be 3 points down to the next competitors (Calgary and Florida) and 5+ away from the next group with 10 games to go. If the Avs lose, I don't see this team getting more than 4-5 points for the rest of the season.
