Can anyone cut together the footage of Karlsson robbing Staal of the puck and then a few minutes later scoring a goal?

There are still some out there who need to be taught this is what he does for us all the damn time.

Not being a big Spezza fan, and with Alfie being a Deity in my home, I was really worried about my attachment to the team, atleast the intensity, when Alfie retires, but Karlsson will suit just fine.

I've always been the type to say NO NO NO, to whenever they compare them. But if you think of how both have gone outside the norms for their own position, but have done it in an exciting and not detrimental way, yeah they are very similar.

Orr does play quite differently, though.

I thought Lundin actually played good seeing how he had to cover for Gonchar's crappy play.

Even when Gonchar is playing good, I never liked him on the PK, I would rather have EK or Benoit in there.

My lord...Karlsson amazing. Great play by Silfverberg and Smith though on that one!

I thought Lundin was fine too. Of course he wasn't spectacular -- but he was solid enough. He made some really good plays, and when he did lose it a bit -- he fought hard to get the puck back.

Its his first game in a while, I think he's doing fine (horrendous is FAR from a word I'd use).

No this is accurate, the way he plays and effects the game is similar to Orr but I don't think he will ever be equal to better or than him though.

You could also compare him to Paul Coffey and Ray Bourques first couple seasons but I don't think he will get as many points since the competition around him these days is better than what was around in the early 80'.

Is it just me or is Gonchar not looking quite as good as he usually does?

I like Lundin. He's been exactly as advertised. Solid and boring.

Maybe hes still sick, maybe because he hasn't played alot this season, in and out of the lineup, maybe its just not his night.

If this team is still in a playoff position when Spezza gets back I don't see how Karlsson isn't considered for the Hart.

It sucks but players need time to adjust. Relax. No goals against and our team is winning...

Neil has been playing great this season. He has developed well since MacLean became coach.

not really, in the last minute of the game he gave it away in our own zone and almost cost us.

Really. I mean he's on the 2nd pairing but was signed to be a #5/6. He hasn't played for a while, and neither Gonchar.

He just got back from the flu, he might be a little rusty. He saved a goal later on and break up another Canes chance.

They just played 1 period of hockey together... and both come back from injuries/sickness... Of course, they won't be world beaters right away. Temper your expectations people

At the same time, people keep complaining how bad our defense is but not a lot of NHL teams have been able to score more than 1 goal against us so far, so we MIGHT be doing something right. Unless people really think it's ONLY Karlsson and Anderson, wouldn't surprise me
