Benoit deserves this. He's been sacrificing the body like each game could be his last (because in many ways it could be). He's shown that he's too valuable to risk waiving and he brings a little bit of everything to the defense. I still really feel for him not getting his 1st in Montreal. That would have been great but I'm thinking he's going to be contributing offense in the NHL now for good.

First line consists of 0 players who belong on a first line in the NHL. Heck, Zibanejad hardly even belong in the NHL period.

Imagine how good Karlsson would've been if he had the same quality in playmates as the rest of the top defencemen.
Hmm looks like a rebuilding team that's lost it's first line center.

Our forward lines my be inexperienced and underwhelming but any team with Anderson in goal and Karlsson on D has a chance to win every night. Just go to the net and keep your stick on the ice. And FFS more shots from Michalek.

Yep.

As long as he continues to play like he has been (he's allowed a few off games, too) I don't see a reason to send him down even next year. He has been very good and he's starting to become more confident offensively. We might see some of the spark he brings to the Bingo offence sooner than later.

Lol exactly. Insert Spezza back into the lineup, and all of a sudden we look decent again up front, in the upper half of the league imo.

People need to step back from the ledge and take a breath. Very few teams in the league look good after you take out their first line center. We're going to struggle at times to score goals, thats a fact. But even with an injured Spezza, theres still depth on this team, and playoff spot is not unreasonable whatsoever.

This matchup will be Pitkanen our beloved Senators against some windbags from down south. I know, it sounds like I'm Jokinen I'm really not. The Sens d-corps looks to get a boost tonight, but still doesn't exactly inspire confidence. That's fine, though. Every LaRose has its thorn. Through no Faulk of our own, it's our lacklustre for-Wards that seems to have Staaled. We just need to keep passing the puck to Karlsson. He's a Tlusty player on the back-end.

The upshot of this game is, we don't have much control over anything. Just Ruutu for the home team and hope Lundin doesn't get his Nodl crushed.

Awesome, I didn't realize he had played that many games already with the Blues. Feels good man.

I have tickets tonight (thanks again to Spezza19 for informing me of the ticket giveaway) but not sure if I'll be able to make it if the snow hits hard.

I wonder what the Blues will do? Since he's only been there a few weeks, do they really go all out for it?

Seriously?
I'm planning to bike to SBP today (that's what I always do) even if it hits hard.

When Gonch had his 1000th game in Ottawa 2 years ago they had a small pre-game ceremony and gave him painting or something

1000 games is the silver stick ceremony: NHL presents the player with a silver stick. The blues pretty much have to comply with a pre-game ceremony.

I bought tickets to a Patriots game in Boston 2 years ago and everything was as smooth as it gets. Got my tickets exactly as promised and everything worked out at the stadium..

Stubhub is the way to go for sure..
