It has been since he's been GM of the Caps. Not this bad, but overall terrible.

This....Ovi, Backstrom, Alzner, Forsberg and Kuz......the rest of them can go suck eggs.....maybe not Hotby, still think he can be mentored by a veteran goalie.

Seriously bring back hunter. They know the system. They played hard for him. They will grind out some wins. At this point they might just need him to keep their psyche up.

The Penguins' announcers were right on in talking about the Capitals' fragility. It really is remarkable. They've done this three ****ing years in a row. It's not Oates. McPhee needs to go and be replaced by someone who can identify the salvageable pieces and work around them.

Oates should just quit while he still has a small chance at being an interim head coach in the future. If he sticks around here much longer George's incompetence will destroy him.

Dale Hunter explicitly declined to continue coaching the Washington Capitals ice hockey franchise.

Fire McPhee. Hire Mark Hunter as GM and Dale as coach. It could not be any worse. Not that they'd likely take it since ownership are morons.

Actually no. That 2nd goal wasn't nearly as bad a goal as it is made out to be, Neuvy was anticipating the pass across the crease. All the open ice and two on ones teams are getting are a much bigger problem. Oh yeah, there is also the inability to make clean passes, the high school level sophistication of the offense, etc.

There's nothing you can do on that Crosby goal or its interference.

Also, Backstrom being invisible against the Penguins has been the big thing that has killed this team against them.
you are suck a pollyana. Its really disgusting. How can you defend a 2-9 team that just gave up 5 goals in one period to their hated rivals?

Jesus.

I don't believe that's true. Not after hearing the GMGM 980 interview. Gmgm went to hunter and sais he wants more offense. Hunter said he is sticking with what he did. Gmgm said farewell to him.

This is all mcphee's doing. How can you have 3 coaches in 3 difference years. 3 different systems. How can you keep garbage like sarge. Ted is sitting at home, having his 4th order of wings. And GMGM is on his cell phone talking to someone with his sour puss face.

Yeah... I don't think Neuvy deserved to be pulled... But at the same time, we could have Jon Quick in net and the score would probably be 4-1 Pens.

God bless you brother. I've watched every game this season, but if it required me staying up that late, there would be some serious reevaluation going on after this performance.

I don't understand why Oates is getting any of the blame here. These are issues that festered for years, and got worse as the roster deteriorated. Scrapping Oates like he's the cause is just ridiculous.

The Caps are becoming the edmonton oilers. But the difference is the oilers have young talent that try.

They've never, for any stretch, played this bad.

I have no desire to get rid of Green, he's having a good season and has become a solid two-way player. Blowing things up for the sake of blowing things up is ridiculous, unless you get tremendous value. I WOULD trade Ribiero near the deadline, he'll bring back value and might otherwise not be back next season. I WOULD trade Brouwer. MJ might bring a comparable player who is also not meeting expectations at best.
