He started out strong but the last 3 years he's been an underachiever. Not sure I'd give up a lot for him.

He seems like a guy who's tired of the Isle, so I think a bounceback in MTL is a distinct possibility.

How about a D-man to squeeze out Bouillon and solidify our back end?

Tinordi will make the team next year as a 6th D and Bouillon is playing very well so far this year...

Why would we want to "squeeze out" Bouillon? He's been a rock this year.

It may be, but he signed for like 3 more years at 2.8 mil. The way he is producing plus his contract, we'd have to get him pretty cheap.

Weber-Okposo maybe add in a B prospect or mid round pick. If the cost is higher then pass.

I'm not sure why half the forum assumes Tinordi is a lock to start next season as a 6th D.

Sometimes it is really hope disguised as an assumption?

I think it might be better for the long-term to let him stay another year to really dominate.

Him, Beaulieu, and Pateryn.

Think of how Tinordi and Beaulieu dominated their last year in the CHL, and how excited we all are.

Get someone else as the 6th D. Let them play a few games here and there as temporary call-up duty.

At the end of 2014, Markov, Emelin, and Diaz are all going UFA, I doubt we keep all three.

I think that's what management is thinking too, otherwise they'd have signed a big stay at home d-man to a 2-3 year deal instead of Bouillon for 1 year.

Curious.

What does Kristo bring to the NYI that Strome/Nino/B. Nelson/Kabanov/Ullstrom/Cizikas/Sundstrom/Perrson /Lee don't bring?

Is 24 yr old Okposo's prorated $2m salary, too much for the isles?

The isles in talks to extend Streit's contract and with pmd Hickey, Donovan, De Haan, Pokka, Kitchon and Russo don't want Weber, who'd be on their 3rd pairing. Thanks all the same.

Well, CREW, Kristo would be better than all but the first 3 in your list right out of the gate. And I'm personally not sold on the first 2.

And I'm not sold on Kristo. B. Nelson,Ullstrom, Cizikas, Sundstrom, Perrson all have strong two-way games, reps for being hard workers. Zero interest in Kristo.

The isles are currently $20m below the 2013-2014 cap floor.Their only important rfa is Hamonic.I expect him to sign somewhere between Del Zotta/Subban's bridge deals($2.5m) and Carlson's longterm deal($4m).

Get back to Snow, when Okposo is making $4.5m in 2014-2015, instead of his current $2m.

Oh and the poster who proposed the Matt Martin trade...23 yr old MM led the league in hits last season. I think he's leading the league in hits this season. He's in yr one of a 4 yr deal, that pays a team friendly $1m per. Isles imo aren't trading MM.

Good to have an outside opinion for once about those trade offer. There is no reason the Isle would trade Okposo for Weber or Kristo. On these boards, everybody seems to think Weber have some kind of great value. He is a just a 3rd pairing/back up relatively young def with some offensive talent. Times a dozen in the NHL.

Umberger's contract makes him practically untradeable. 4.6 mil cap hit for 4.5 years. Last year 40 points in 77 games and 7 in 22 this year. I don't think Bergevin would take him even if he was free.

He's looked predictably terrible without Subban covering for him. He's not a rock, he marginally performing at best. But I'm not complaining about his play, he's fine for a 6th D. I just want a bigger, better guy like Murray or Polak or someone.

Can someone please inform Et Le But that I'm not reading or responding to his posts until he retracts that bit about liking Hamrlik.

What about Gionta+ Moen + 1rst + Leblanc for Perry ?

Even as a rental it isn't too bad because we give up Gio and his 5 mill salary, Moen that is expendable a low first and Leblanc that is being glued to the bench.
