She's a fantastic actress. Still haven't gotten around to Winter's Bone, but otherwise I've liked everything she's done. But she could use a better wiki picture...

I love her in interviews and she's cute as hell AND I think she's the best young actress in years. I expect great things from here for a long time.

I was going to pop in here and say what about Michelle Williams, but I looked her up and she is actually a full decade older than Lawrence, a big difference in show biz terms. So I guess I would modify my comment to say that Lawrence is the best actress to emerge since Williams.

dudemanguybro, watch Winter's Bone asap. Lawrence and Hawkes are out of control.

Winter's Bone is a fantastic movie. She is spectacular in that role. I haven't really been blown away by her since.

Silver Linings Playbook really didn't do anything for me and I didn't find her to be particularly compelling in her role. Certainly not to the point that she is a "lock" for anything. X-Men and Hunger Games were good enough summer action movies. Nothing particularly memorable about either of those performances.

That being said... she's what? 22? 23? Very impressive resume at such a young age. I don't doubt she can go on to do great things at all.

On topic, I just watched Tuesday's Conan and J-Law was very adorable in it. A very likable celebrity.

Really? On the young side for me but I think she is very beautiful and very "real". Loved an interview in which she said he preferred to look a little "heavier" on camera and be normal size in real life then look normal size on camera and stick thin in real life. Also great how she posted pics, on twitter I think it was, of herself without makeup.

Love, love her. Her interviews are always hilarious and she actually seems like a genuine person despite her success.

I think I would like her even if it weren't for her great success, just a likeable person.

Once 'Silver Linings Playbook' gets released on iTunes I'm definitely going to check it out. She's really taken the scene by storm here. What's very impressive about her, however, is while landing a lead role in a movie like 'The Hunger Games' she immediately separated herself from the series.

When you think about Daniel Radcliffe, you think 'Harry Potter' and that's it. When you think about Jennifer Lawrence, you don't immediately think about 'The Hunger Games.' See a gal like Emma Watson, who also has the looks, but it has taken her a bit of time to remove herself from the Hermione Granger role. She's doing quite well now, but it took a while.

I don't know, I think that's impressive.

Also, I would disappoint the **** out of her.

Opinion X= fact.

Personally I don't find Mila Kunis, Angelina Jolie outside of Tomb Raider, Megan Fox post transformers, Taylor Swift, or Adriana Lima very attractive. I understand why people do, but people have varying tastes. Is Jennifer a grade A hottie. But she's a good looking girl and she seems totally genuine.

She's such a great, good looking actress and will probably end up winning best actress this year

She'll be in the film industry for a long, long time

She's an extraordinarily talented young actress, her looks are irrelevant.

Certainly worthy of consideration, but not quite in the same class. David Ferrer to their Rafa Nadals.

"Babe" threads are not allowed, so if everyone could please stop discussing Lawrence's "hotness" or physical attractiveness here, that would be good.

Michelle Williams is amazing.

But yes, it seems like Jennifer Lawrence has "it" when it comes to dealing with all the fame and fortune that comes with Hollywood. I would put it like someone else in here put, she is genuine. I wish she would lose like ten pounds though.

Watched House at the end of the street last night on one of those movie channels.

Pretty bad movie, and she didn't make it any better. I haven't really seen her in anything else that I remember.

She seems like a fun and quirky person when she's herself (in interviews and around the press), but I've been struck by how lacking in personality her acting seems to be. I find the person interesting, but her acting boring. Granted, I've seen only Winter's Bone and The Hunger Games, but she was rather "blah"--as in devoid of personality--in both. Maybe she acted that way because the plots of the films were rather grim, which is understandable, but maybe she's also taking acting a little too seriously and will learn in time to loosen up and be more herself. I hope so, since it seems like she's going to be one of the biggest actresses for quite some time, so we're going to be seeing her in a lot of big movies. I'd love to see more of the real her (the quirky, talkative, smiling one), rather than the quiet, expression-less doppelganger that she's acted with thus far.

I don't see that as impressive, since the circumstances are very different. First, she's been in only one Hunger Games film so far. If she were in 8 (the number of Harry Potter films), she'd be a little typecast, too. Even then, though, audiences didn't grow up with her, as they did with Radcliffe and Watson, who we followed from pre-teen through teen to early adulthood. Lawrence didn't even start acting until she was almost an adult. Finally, it helped that Lawrence earned an Oscar nomination for Best Actress prior to taking the Hunger Games role. That established her as an excellent, up-and-coming actress who just happened to be starring in a popular role, rather than an actress whose participation in a popular series is what made her (as was the case with Emma Watson and Kristen Stewart).

Chastain is about to turn 36. In Hollywood, that's not "young" ;)
