Her Oscar win for Silver Linings Playbook was a joke. Worst performance of the 5 nominated actresses.

Meh, it wasn't a strong year for the Best Actress category. Supporting Actress was stronger.

Winters Bone was a pretty awesome movie, IMO it shouldve been Best Picture the year it was up. She was very good in the lead role.

Finally saw Silver Linings Playbook, she deserved that Oscar. She's adorable.

Naomi Watts was by far the worst. Wallis wasn't really acting to me. Riva was meh. Chastain was the best. But Lawrence is gonna be a powerhouse for years to come I think. And she seems pretty cool to boot. Not a bad win at all.

I thought Chastain overacted. That may be just me though.

Riva was really good, and she showed why she was so highly regarded. Nevertheless, her performance was not a powerhouse performance, and traditionally, it is very hard for a Best Foreign film winner to win another award.

Lawrence gained momentum in the race, and in the end, she won it. Regardless, it was well-deserved, because she gave a very naturalistic performance, and she was very convincing in her role.
