KOTR's Fan Base Mock Draft(Your pick has been made)

Shout out and stealing this idea that was never followed through by Candy Canes. Thought it would be interesting to try it again as I liked the idea originally. Also a chance to change history if you voted in the last go round. Trying to make it through the entire first round before the draft.

Currently on the clock: Winnipeg (Your pick has been made)

Rules:

I will be making posts on teams main forums, so look out for yours when your team is up to pick! When the team is up to pick, the fans of that team will post their player they want drafted with that pick. After about 24 hours at 8:00 AM (Pacific) the player that was said the most on the forum will be the team's selection! If a tie breaker happens to be needed I will give that team extra time until the next vote is cast.

-You as a voter, can only vote once.
-You can only select one player.
-Of course like a real draft, once a player is selected they can not be drafted again.
-Please make your pick clear and separate your commentary where possible.
-Thanks for participating.

The entire mock will be updated on the Mock Board section under KOTR's Fan Base Mock Draft.

Noah Juulsen.

I hope the Jets snag him here, I know he's been rated way too low.

Sprong

Looking at who is left, this may be a good spot for Bittner. Him and Beauvillier are the first guys that come to mind for me.

Wait never mind. I voted for Sprong last time before hearing about the supposed personality concerns. Might as well vote for him again. Still a dynamic talent.

Larsson, Juulsen, Cernak would be the D we could look at.

Noah Juulsen.

I'll second this; I like getting a high end defender to continue filling the pipeline. Thought about Harkins too. Would be happy with either tbh.

The bolded is perhaps the most overlooked player in the top 2 rounds. He is big, smart, aggressive and has a good skill set. For sure has some justified concerns about stalled development but he still has solid upside with a really higher ceiling (top end AHL player almost already, IMO). He likes to muck it up and works hard with plenty of skill I think he'd be much higher ranked if he played in NA.

With White, Zboril, and Kylington gone, this is a tough one.
Sprong is BPA, but I'm too scared to pick him.
Bittner wouldn't be outrageous as he would be at 17, but I'm still not sold.
Harkins has question marks concerning his upside.

This is really tough, and I'd be happy with any of the names mentioned previously (particularly Sprong/Harkins), but I really like what I've read about him and think if he was playing in North America with more scout exposure he'd be higher ranked, and we do need another high end D prospect.

Harkins.

Not that the 17th pick was a slam dunk, but this is really tough. (Gonna need the scouts to earn their money here).

Sprong seems like the most talented forward left, so if the scouts thought any issues were overblown and they feel he could improve his overall game he could be a nice pick.

As much as I am worrisome of Bittner's offense, he could also be an option if the scouts felt there was still room for it to improve.

Dubrusk as well could be a good forward option (who RS has higher than Bittner), as well as guys like Roslovic and Chlapik. Beauvillier has the numbers, if scouts feel his game will translate, I would guess that his cohorts would be higher than most left on the list.

Defensmen like Juulsen, Larsson, Carlsson, Siegenthaler and Dunn all seem like options.

I've seen mentioned that Harkins still could have room to grow, and if he can develop his skating a little more as well. I like everything I hear about his compete level, and like how well he contributed offensively on a bad team. I don't think there are many players I'd be upset with here (possibly Carlo), baring a Bautin level reach.

Roslovic

I like the idea in this scenario of trying to do a trade with Columbus to try and get both of their early 2nd's. Since that's not an option here I'll pick the guy that they likely want at this spot.

Juulsen.

Agree with a few others. Would be nice to have another smooth-skating d-man in the pipeline.

There is more than one player I'm equally about getting at this moment in time...

So I will just watch you guys and gals pick and smile.
