The only 2 losses they have were in a skills competition, on the road.

Doesn't matter, Sharks played the night before the Hawks so that's not fair, they were too tired.

If Crawford holds up, I don't see any one touching them this year. That top 6 is just scary to death.

Excuses, excuses! 3 of the Hawks wins were the second of back to back games...and 2 have the Hawks wins have come in the 3rd game in 4 nights...so obviously it's possible to persevere and win!

Very fun to watch but we're 11 GAMES into the season. We could go 42-0-6 and it wouldn't really matter. The Hawks and their fans want a cup. 2 1st round exits make us pretty apathetic about regular season success.

With that said, man is it fun to watch these guys play. Every line, every pairing, even our goaltending, everything is just clicking right now. And Patty Kane..,sweet Jesus

The only game the Hawks got lucky in in this stretch was in Calgary, when it took a miraculous performance by Emery and a desperation slop goal by Hossa to tie it up with 3 seconds in the game.

That game was the last in a "3-in-4" set against a team that had played the least amount of games at that point and had about 3-4 days off prior to the game.

They still got it done.

Yet he had 120+ minutes of shutout hockey over the past couple games. Give me a break.

It's looking good but I'm not sure we're a Cup team. Hopefully, we can add some sandpaper with skill, without giving up anyone on the current roster and make a serious Cup run.

Always helps to have BS calls go your way. Let's be a bit realistic here. There was no hit to the head in the Sharks game.

It's between them and the Sharks for sure, will be interesting to see if they can keep up this level of play through the season and playoffs. Crawford has looked better than I expected and that top 6 is rolling pretty good.

Yeah, Desjardins got shafted on that call (as evidenced by the almost-immediate rescinding of the MP after the game). But despite it, the Hawks still outplayed the Sharks. The only teams they didn't outplay were the Canucks, Wild, and Flames (which still leaves me scratching my head as to how they pulled that game out).

It's not like the Hawks have been winning every game on crap calls. They've actually got a good team. Odds are good that they'll lose a game in large part to a questionable call, but that's hockey, whether you like it or not.

The 3rd line is scoring and that should be of concern for the opposition. And playing all these road games already and having the record they do is impressive. Sharks tried to outhit them into a loss and that failed (and I think the Sharks were outhit thew last 2 periods). They are doing a lot of things right but their 5-4 PP is pretty horrible right now.

It's only a matter of time before we lose some good players to injury. We get outhit 2-1 almost every game. Come playoffs we will get steam rolled.

Smith may have a bit of Lu-itis against the Hawks this year. I look forward to seeing what he does next time against the Hawks.

Crawford looks like the same old goalie to me, and that doesn't bode well for the Hawks down the stretch of the season.

Kane, Toews, Hossa are playing incredible. Hard to think that a team, besides the Pens, can match them offensively right now

Exactly. It's February so Toews is about due for his annual concussion and once the rest of the league starts playing them more physical to neutralize the speed it'll get ugly quick.

If he even gets the start again. He flubbed the first two; is Tippett the kind of coach that would give Smith another shot or would he change things up and give LaBarbera a chance? He played well after Smith got yanked.

He was coming out of his net too much last year, too much for his athletic ability. He looks just like he did in the first year, big difference.

With the advent of social media, the deities are now hip to the game and have caught onto our "anti-jinxing" tactics. So don't try to pull that reverse psychology crap on them, it's futile.
