Glad I am not giving McCaskeys my money
I don't think I've ever seen a fan in any sport be as negative as you. It's like you go out of your way to hate any move the Bears make. Get a grip.

McBride offers us a cheap depth on a position we may need it.
Urlacher did not want to sign for 2 million and calls this "a slap in the face", REALLY BRIAN? I don't want a legend like him on the Roster when all that matters to him is money...
I waited long enough to see us going after Munnerlyn. He would be a good NB and is cheap enough. I'd take him over DJ Moore who isn't a better CB but runs his mouth in public about his teammates.

Sad to see Brian go. Wish he could have won a super bowl with us. 2006 loss really stings at moments like this one.

Expect him to agree to a deal with less than 2 m from another team.

Anyone else concerned/worried/terrified that the Bears are heading back into the perpetual 5-11, 6-10 awfulness that i grew up with in the late 90's?

So many holes, terrible drafting, new coach, new OC, a QB who is getting his brain scrambled like eggs every week.

No, I actually think the opposite is about to happen but we will not know for sure until after this draft. I love what they have done in free agency though. What holes do the Bears have? Sure, LB is a big hole but I think they will use a high pick on one now that they have a LT and TE.

All teams have holes. That's the reality in the NFL. Not concerned yet, but need to see how this draft and first season with the new coaching staff goes.

I could see that. Bears have so many holes b/c of older players, isnt funny. Bears first round draft failures put the dagger in it. Almost like the Hawks first round draft picks.

Urlacher done. Called that hole at MLB. OT, DE, CB all need to be replaced within 1-2 years. Key players at those positions. Implosion imminent.

The Bears certainly have to draft better. We'll see how Webb does on the right side, maybe that hole at tackle won't be so immediate.

Cutler cost too much and combined with Angelos poor first round drafting doomed the Bears. Best chance has come and gone as of last season. Bears will need to blow it up and the sooner they realize it, the better. They're going nowhere.

You don't blow it up in the NFL. Its not like other sports. That said, next year is an important year for McClellan. I think they are going to trade down from 20 so they need to get 2 immediate starters in this next draft and 1 or 2 guys who can contribute and become starters down the line. Ideally starters at line backer and guard.

This draft will decide the future. We need a couple home runs.

Roriguez was a POS when the Bears threw away draft pick on him

This is not unusual for him

Sounds decent low hit use to play OT.

Yea I heard that was making the rounds too. Probably a Special Teams signing and depth behind our three safety's who seem to get injured on occasion.

Would love to see Zibby in Chicago. He's a Buffalo Grove kid.

@danpompei: Bears have their successor to Brian Urlacher--it's D.J. Williams of Denver. Story coming soon.

Nice, should upgrade the position quite a bit.

Williams has some serious character issues but is a good player on the field.
