Roman Hamrlik

Hamrlik has been a healthy scratch the last several games and it looks like the writing is on the wall for him. I think the Caps would be looking for a draft pick or prospect since I doubt he'd return a roster player that would help them much.

I thought he played decent this season in his 3 games, but it looks like management thinks otherwise.

Anyone interested? If so, what would you offer?

I was thinking maybe a Penner Hamrlik swap. Change of scenery could help Penner

I'd take him on the Rangers.

Anyone can be better for our 6th spot than Bickel/Gilroy, since Tortarella refuses to play Eminger.

He would be a top 2 in Colorado.
How about Hunwick and a 3rd?

Does McPhee know what he's doing?? Hamr is a solid offensive defenceman.

Older player on the last year of his contract with a 3.5m cap hit. He'll probably go for a depth guy or a pick. Especially if he's being sat. Corvo for Hamrlik? Yeah, I know. I know. :/

He'd be good for a team struggling on the powerplay.

He doesn't...has butchered the team ever since Halak miraculously eliminated them in 7 games...got a coach that forced premium offensive players to play defensive, and screwed them up. Completely put out Ovie's fire, which IMO was unique in the NHL. All the Caps had to do following that once-per-10 year upset was to consider it as it was and not change their core and culture. Sad story as this was such an exciting team to watch.

Yannick Weber for Hamr who loves MTL and will be a reliable 6-7 who can occasionally still play 3-4 against the Bruins, Flyers, or Leafs if needed.

Been there, done that with Corvo. No thanks.

Hunwick has been playing well this year. It would be stupid to trade him now. Colorado would be better off trading O'Bryne or O'Brien.

Jamie Benn says no.
Wouldn't want to give up a 3rd round pick for Hamrlik, though.

He is no longer an offensive dman. He hasn't reached 35 points since 2006-7.
