As much as it's a "bad goal" you can see he's analyzing how far up the goalie is standing when he fires that stealthy wrister.

Yeah and he made it seem like he was originally going to pass

I've seen it at least once before from that side, and a couple other goals from the same angle from the other side (but I recall those went top shelf).

Kane must've seen something from Rinne tonight - he tried that shot twice and it almost worked the first time as well.

The mark of a damn smart player, really. Lots of guys probably don't notice or just don't look for that kind of thing.

Elite vision bro. He's one of the best at making something out of nothing

It's one of those things I think this team is soo deep with, guys with great hockey sense. Some guys just read the game so well and now when to be somewhere, what to do, how to do it. Most teams only have 2-3 guys like that the Hawks are loaded with them. Kane, Hossa, Toews, Keith, Sharp, even Saad has it. It's one of the things that makes this team special.

The goal tonight reminded me of the greatest goal Kane will ever score.

He's been the best player on the best team in the league so far in this short season.

Well deserved indeed: 5 goals and 1 assist.

Has potted 20 goals or more every year in his career, and with 9 already after 12 games, he's setting himself up to have a shot again even with the shortened schedule. Has scored a goal in 5 straight games.

He has almost a third of his point total from last year after just 12 games, and that was an 82 game season for him.

I think Kane's elevated his game to the point where he'll stay as one of the top offensive talents in the league. His vision, playmaking, passing, dangling, etc. are all elite. His shot is pretty damn good too

And hopefully I'll never again have to actually argue with people that he's better than Jordan Eberle or David Krejci

he's doing this with Bolland (not exactly the most skilled offensive player) and Sharp who has had some real rough luck so far this season. If he were on a true first line...holy crap.

There is no doubt Kane is much better then either of them, I just hope one day he is as good as Kyle Turris.

Sharp hasn't looked like dog####, he is on a PPG and he has hit the post several times and generated chances. It's not like he isn't doing anything, he is simply unlucky that he shots hit the post and not the back of the net. Once he nets 1 again he will start filling the scoring sheet.

Yeah he's hit some posts and stuff and has some points, but he hasn't passed the eye test. He's been pretty bad, especially by his standards and what he's capable of. He's looked downright lost at times on the ice. To me, it isn't the usual hot and cold that he is. Something's just been very off with his game this season overall, and I'm a pretty big backer of his. I think he'll shake his way out of it but his point totals are deceiving in relation to how his play has been. (which is a good thing and a good sign about this team's karma this season)

I think it was Disgruntled that made the comment about Saad and Sharp's play and how their points should be the opposite of what they are in relation to how their play has been. Sharp's game has been off, to me. But like I said, I'm confident he'll make his way out of it.

Sharp has benefited from Kane with his points. Other than that he has shanked many shots, hit posts (not his fault) and generally made bad decisions with the puck. Add that to the fact he is not creating anything. Expectations are higher for him than others.

Yessir.

All I remeber is that Kane did what few people could do and that is shutting Philly fans up.

Yeah, the Predators goal by Kane reminded me of *THAT* goal in the SC Finals.

just think about all the times Sharp has hit the crossbar already and IIRC 3 or 4 out of those 6 were assisted by Kane.
