He was voted the 2nd best D in the WJC 2yrs ago, before he was injured some people were saying he was the best D playing in the SEL this year, also some have said he was the steal of his draft. I'm not saying he's better then Kuznetsov, but he does have the potential to be a top pair D which the Oilers need.

18 goals in 49 games this year...i think he'll crack the 20 goal mark. Just a hunch.

That's what the Oilers need more young forwards. Lol never understand you guys.

Terrible proposal. Typical Edmonton proposal.

Oilers should go after a guy like Laich... you know, if they are attempting to do something this year. Which they look like much better shape than the Capitals this season.

Capitals have no incentive to move a prospect right now.

You're out of your mind man. Just stop posting in this thread. It's clear you can't have a rational argument involving the Oilers.

Playing in the NHL(which has 30 more games), Peter Forsberg never scored more than 30 goals. Terrible argument.

Nail Yakupov - 10 goals 8 assists
Evgeny Kuznetsov - 18 goals 24 assists

Yakupov couldn't even score more than 10 goals so by your logic, Kuz>Yak.

There is no point on doing any trade on HF because its literally if it involves the oilers.

"What would it take to get Mark Fistric to the oilers?"

Start with one of the big 4 or schultz or no deal.

Fistric gets traded for a 3rd rounder.

It doesnt matter who is involved in the trade, it could be a 7th dman, it could be a 4th line center, it could be an overseas prospect, could be a top 6 player and its always one of the big 4 or nothing.

He's bigger than Eberle, Yakupov and RNH.

Because there is no one else of interest on the Oilers roster.

Lol at Edmonton's 'untouchable list' when nobody else on that team is worth anything close to Kuz.

Washington will open up the bidding at RNH and a 1st.

Yak also played almost 30 less games then Kuznetsov

This thread went off the rails real quick.

Edmonton laughs, then hangs up. There really is no deal that would work between these twos teams involving Kuznetsov, Washington wants and rightfully so a top player for Kuznetsov if they were to trade him, only top players Edmonton have is the big 5 and Kuznetsov (right now) is not worth them so really there is no deal that could be made

To be fair, the majority of Edmonton offers see them getting a very good player and saying the big 5 are untouchable.

Fistric wasn't worth more than a third rounder. He is a bottom-pairing guy that will be asking for too much as a UFA because he likes to hit. And now he's hurt.

To be clear, I'm not an Oiler fan.

I haven't made any trade proposals. But please, correct me if I'm wrong. I just asked is there a trade here.

Oilers are in the middle of a rebuild. IMO it's worth the risk. Edmonton should be thinking in long term. And by the way, Kuznetsov isn't small. He's roughly as tall as Grigorenko.

Funny, I thought this was the perfect scenario to move a non-roster player for several good pieces. I thought GMGM & AO aren't interested in a mini-rebuild but want to make the playoffs this year and the next. But I guess I was wrong. Surely GMGM & AO can afford waiting at least 2 more years for Kuznetsov and then 1-2 more to be competitive again. How silly of me. I'll get me coat...
