Wish I could be hopeful heading into this one, but it's Philly. Even in their ********* of seasons and our best of seasons, we still struggle with these guys. Even in our cup year we were only .500 against them. Hell even in their worst season ever (06-07) where they finished dead last, they still were .500 against us. Schedule makers did us no favors by giving them to us 3 times this year.

So...are we supposed to have three games against all other non-divisional teams in our conference, five games against all Southeast teams, and one game against Philly?
On an unrelated note, I really wish I knew who was starting in goal today. I've got Price, Lindback, and Ward for the time being in fantasy, and I'm not sure which goalie to dress along with Price. Lindback against Boston, or Ward against Philly.

Derp. I thought it was 5 and 2 with 3 against a few teams from the other divisions, not outright 5 and 3.
Well... they did us no favors by giving them to us twice in Philly then, *******s.

I'm not sure there's a difference between playing at PNC Arena or Wells Fargo Center. The first one's an almost-guaranteed L, the other one's a definitely guaranteed L.
Also, the way the schedule actually works is 3 against all non-divisonal conference teams, four games against two divisional teams, and five games against the other two divisional teams. So the Canes play the Capitals and Lightning five times, yet the Jets and Panthers four times.

Flyers against us at home: 39-11-5-3
Flyers against us away: 33-15-9-1
I'd like to personally thank the Flyers GDT for bringing me around to this certain 5-1 loss.
I was feeling good about this game too until I noticed that with a Hurricanes win and a Lightening loss against the Bruins, we end the day in 3rd place in the eastern conference. That helped bring back the skepticism.

So I finally just decided **** it, and simmed the rest of my OHL season in Be-a-Pro. I got drafted first overall after only physically playing in 19 games and simming the rest. My guy finished with 113 points or something.
Bad news: I got drafted by Calgary, which apparently has decided to sign a **** ton of bottom-six players.
Good news: I get the chance to set up us the Anton bomb.
You never know. Despite their horrible lifetime record against the Flyers, I would say there is still a very good chance the Hurricanes can beat them....
...it just depends on the Flyers starting Leighton over Bryzgalov in goal.

My goalies have changed about 5 times already this year. I originally drafted Price, Ward, and Kiprusoff. After that, I dropped Kiprusoff and picked up Lindback. After this team (and Ward's) abysmal start to the year, I dropped Ward in favor of Luongo once he started winning games from under Schneider. I then needed a second goalie to play for the lsat day to win a close week in fantasy, so I dropped Luongo to pick up Reimer for the game against the Canes. After Cam's performances these last two games, I snagged him back up before Novacane could consider it, ditching Reimer.
Now I'm currently dangling Lindback in front of my friend who's in goalie hell, offering Lindback for Datsyuk. He has Halak (on IR), Smith (on a team that's playing like garbage), and Varlamov(on a team that's playing like garbage). We'll see if he takes it.
