Horrific loss, really nothing else to say. It rarely seems we get any wins when we're out shot by 30 shots and still pull off a W.

Put Bailey on JT's wing! He's wayyy better than Boyes or KO.

I put the loss squarely on Nabby's shoulders! He needs to save at least 1 of those goals, if not all 3 of them.

I love Nabby, but he has to get the blame for some of the losses, he hasn't made the key saves. Hate to say it, but DP needs to get the next start. Nabby not sharp at all last few games.

Al Trautwig is a dumbass. He says Miller made the save off the crossbar - neither happened!

One postive from this game has to be Lubo. Except for a giveaway or two he played really well.

Unbelievable loss. I don't remember a weaker effort by an opponent that ended with an Isles loss. But I guess that happens when you cannot bag any golden opportunities around the net and your goalie comes up small -- which is starting to become a recurring problem.

How about Tavares, Bailey and Grabner. Move Moulson and Boyes to the 2nd line with Franzie!

cant put it on him alone....we missed a bunch of emptey nets and on Vaneks goal everyone was standing around the net not clearing the puck....

Also cant be mad at Johnny but he beat Miller 3 times tonight and only got 1 goal...

Well, this sucks. You clearly deserved the win (and a regulation one at that). Really unlucky.

I have mixed feelings. I wanted the Islanders to win but at least Viz had a great first game. Also, one of the guys in the post-game studio just pronounced Visnovsky the right way - it has to be the first time I've heard an American do that.

Easy. Islanders were the better team but Miller was the better goalie. That's what it boiled down to. That and a large dose of bad luck.

Maybe the staff has zero confidence in him in net. I was shocked he wasn't playing today but I guess they went with Nabby with hopes to stop the bleeding as applied to the gimp playing and we toss in the towel.

I like it. Or how about Tavares, Bailey, Martin where MM can go into the corners and dig the puck out for Tavares, for a change...seems like JT is always digging the puck out of the corners and get hammered by the D while his wingers just stand around the net waiting for him to get them the puck. I hate that.

We lost only because Miller stood on his head and Nabby couldn't have stopped a beach ball tonight. Plain and simple.

The team looked great good passing strong defensive play and many quality chances. WE WERE THE BETTER TEAM!

If we keep this line up together we will turn things around provided our goaltender is at least average.

Great to see Bailey back and Vish looked like a difference maker. Thank goodness Cap benched Reasoner.

Wow, 43-15 and lose? Do the Isles need a goalie? Only 12 saves on 15 shots?

I guess JT doesn't have good wingers? Can't fault the D only giving up 15 shots, right?

Did Miller stand on his head, were they quality shots?

I guess Timmy isn't going to play but Nabokov can't be doing too well, these days?

I don't think the Sabres are all that good, they are really struggling and I doubt they deserved that game at all. Miller and Vanek are the main positives on that club.

That's the way I see it. The positive aspect is the way Lubo played. I can't believe how wrong I was about his game.

Agree about Miller being better, but wouldnt exactly say he stood on his head--- helped by 2 posts, and most of the Isles shots were from poor angles, and/or the blue line w/ no screens in front-

You can't really blame Nabby for the goals. Well, I missed the last one, but not the first two. But yeah, he was pretty weak tonight. He made the saves that he had to make but he wasn't so certain about them. Unfortunately, you don't have a better alternative.

Cappy looked more clueless than ever tonight.

And some of you speculated that Boyes would get over 20 goals. How's that going?

I cant believe we out shot them 43-15 and STILL lost. Only us. I agree with everybody that said Okposo needs to go....he was such a big deal when we signed him but he has done ****....we need new ownership....a new gm...and absolutely a new coach...one that isnt a frigging AHL coach damn it! I'm so tired of getting them....I wish we could somehow make Al Arbour and Bill Torrey younger and sign them again.

You and me both. If Tavares continues to be the grinder on the first line, he's going to start getting injured. That's why I don't understand anyone defending Moulson. Matty positions himself in front of the net, watching JT get the sh-- kicked out of him...it drives me crazy. If things don't change, you can expect to see JT get injured at some point. Our star player should not be the one getting banged around.
