I swear when you kept referring to "her", I thought you meant Crosby. lol
I grew up on the Island, just 15 min from Nassau Col., (living in B-lo now) and was in HS during that incredible Cup streak 30 yrs ago...and I actually laughed when I heard fans cheered the injury---and I even like Crosby! I guess you can take the boy outa the Island, but.....

I'm not on the island so I haven't a clue but are people going to be able to drive to the coliseum? Are roads still closed?

Checking in from the one part of New England that didn't get totally blasted (only about 10" where I live in Vermont).
Great game day thread, hope people on the Island are able to get to the Coliseum safely.

I'm snowed in, I am in an area with 30+"s so I'll be watching from home. Be safe to those who are going!

I'm guessing like 2,000 for the crowd tonight. Most people in Suffolk can't get out at all.

Nice GDT.
I expect you guys to dominate us, we are the worst team in the NHL bar none, if not for Vanek we are in the basement with 0 possibly 1 win. Tavares will likely score 4 points tonight, Vanek will score 2 goals, the Sabres will troll their fans by coming within 1 goal of tying it up, but fear not Islander fans, for they are only trolls and cannot achieve comebacks.
I'm serious

Just as a heads up, Myers is a healthy scratch for the Sabres, Sekera is taking his place (return from injury). Same with McCormick and Kaleta taking his place. Best of luck, but not too much luck.

Nabokov makes 7th straight start in goal. Visnovsky and Bailey in, Cizikas back in. Boulton, Reasoner, Finley out for #Isles.

As per Arthur Staple, Boulton, Reasoner and Finley are the scratches. I would expect these lines:
Moulson Tavares Boyes
Grabner Nielson Okposo
Bailey Aucoin Ullstrom
Martin Cizikas McDonald
MacDonald Hamonic
Streit Visnovsky
Strait Hickey
Nabokov

Finally we are actually playing our best players. Outside of the Rangers game, we've put a good effort out there every night this season. Let's win one tonight and get some good vibes again!

Would really like to see:
Moulson-JT-Grabner
Bailey-Neilson-Ullstrom
Boyes-Aucoin-Okposo
Martin-Cizikas-McDonald
Viz-Hammer
Streit-Strait
Mac-Hickey
(I know Mac and Hammer are partners but we could use both of there defensive abilities with more offensive minded defensemen)

Wow...those lines look ok..our 4th line even looks 10 times better.
Watch the game closely tonight...this is as good as it gets. At least until more of our prospects make the team.
