Caps fan here, I come in peace. Just wanted to say that I don't think most of us are getting a free win against you. We all kinda think our seasons is almost completely over, it's more of a 'well, if we don't win these two games against one of the other struggling teams it's completely over.'

Good luck to you guys though!! We both probably need to pick up both of these games to salvage our seasons. Can we just agree that whoever wins tonight can just win the other one too? Cause comon... going 1-1 ain't gonna help either of us!

Well, I think many Caps fans are too optimistic and ignorant to the fact that Panthers are on a 5 game point streak, however, us Panthers fans can't think the same way either, because we have sucked against you guys.

Good luck to you too! Tonight will be a good game, as it always is with the Capitals, thanks for stopping by and being so kind!

Actually it's pretty much just AquaBlue posting that and he is a known moron. The rest of us are quoting him for biting sarcasm. We're well aware that our Caps are more than capable of losing in horrific fashion to every team in the East (since they won't be playing any Western teams this season, thank God). Anyway yeah I'd be happy with 2 goals in these 2 games, let alone 2 wins.

Nice GDT. We are bound to lose vs a struggling team? Aren't we? We are the Panthers for Gods sake..

Two keys tonight I would like to see the team do:

1) We need to do a better job covering the forwards in front of our net. Too many times the last two game I noticed the D are going for the block shot in our end, rather then clear the man in front of the goalie.
Jose is a small goalie for NHL standards. He can get screened very easy. We need to physically shove them out of the way.

2) I think against this struggling Caps goaltending we should create the same kind of traffic in front of their net that we have been seeing done to us the past couple. Don't want to get these Caps goalies in a rhythm tonight, and find their groove on us.
Weiss's tying goal on the PP last game was a beautiful example. Right off the faceoff Mueller went right in front of Bryzgalov. I would like to see this happen tonight as much as possible.

Like I said earlier, I'll be listening to the game @ work and checking in with you guys, but I can't get too detailed because I won't be seeing the game. I'll either watch it sometime late tonight or tomorrow and giving my two cents, if anyone cares

You guys get the feeling Weiss knows he's playing his last season for the Cats? Looks disinterested in the game.

We must be watching different games. He looked pretty interested in tying the game up against the Flyers.

Eh? I don't recall if it was the game against Flyers or Jets, but Weiss was really arguing with the ref about the FOs and looked like he was about to murder that ref.

You think he'd care to argue if he was "disinterested"?

That was the Flyers. Not just Weiss, but everyone on the Panthers were getting thrown out. I remember seeing Smithson having something to say to the refs too.

Looked like Erskine was the only one that made any contact.

Dineen needs to put Guds on the 1st PP-unit. Kuli just keeps on passing and passing, he wouldn't shoot even if he had an open net.

Agreed, may be because he can't hit the net with his shot. "Uhmmmm...you do it!"
