So. First period so far seems to be pretty even on both sides. Nice jobs by both backup tenders...Montoya impressing with his sharpness.

Am I watching the Jets?! Great puck control, controlling the pace, good offensive, defense and neutral zone coverage, great penalty killing AND a confident goalie?!!! WHAT HAPPENED

His rebound control is terrible... he's able to make a few save though. Looks pretty shaky.

Overall better but I don't like how we let in another late push. The period is twenty minutes long and there are three of them. Please play the whole game.

C'mon MacLean, you know Justin did nothing in that 4-1 win.

I think what Holden said might be true. Peluso might be waived again because Wright is a perfect piece for his role. Good age, size, speed and smarts.
Nah never.

One of the better periods of play I can remember this season. Montoya has been solid when called on, amazing pk at the end of the period, and we are destroying them on faceoffs, has burmi even lost one yet? lol. Hope we can keep it up in the 2nd

Good first period.
We're gonna bury one from the point with the Kane joki antro cycle in the 2nd. And Toby gets one on the PP.

This is how I'm feeling as well, 59 minutes of play will end up in a loss.

how do the Sens ever feel they have a home ice advantage with that opera crowd???................yikes

We seem to have a knack of running out of gas in the third, so I hope we can stay solid

Well clearly Chevy hates everybody in St. John's (or cares more about St. John's not discounting this possibility, maybe Zinger tears up every time Chevy tries to recall a player) so Peluso will be around until Miettinen is back anyways.

Anybody really really hate hockey day in Canada?

Jets were OK, but Ottawa just didn't work very hard that period. They're probably getting the riot act right now.
