1st Overall Draft #2

1 - Mario Lemieux "94.00%"

Draft of the first overall picks from 1979 onwards

Rest of the players will be added when I think it'll be necessary.

Do we assume that all the players have the exact same trajectory they did historically? Or can we say players like Lindros or Berard might never suffer the injuries they did if they were drafted today?

Probably Crosby. If injuries are a no factor then Lindros by a mile

Crosby. Lindros's peak was a bit short and Crosby seems to have fully recovered from his problems.

Lindros blows Crosby out of the water if he'd stayed healthy. When he was at the top of his game, he was the best forward of the past 30 years after Gretzky and Lemieux.

I think you mean after Messier, Jagr, Trottier, Bossy, Forsberg, Sakic, Yzerman, and Hull, along with Gretzky and Lemieux.

OP?

I can't really decide between Lindros/Crosby until I know the parameters of the question.

It's always fun to read this kind of stuff about Lindros, the most overrated player ever.

pretty safe bet that Lindros would have had a bunch of injuries regardless with his play-style

assuming he wouldn't would be just plain unrealistic
