Why is Cleary in the 2nd pp unit?

Cleary is the type of player where you keep him on the team for about a 2 year stint and then you get rid of him. He's not the kind of guy you keep around the franchise.
^this Sorry but he had his few good seasons with us. But Kenny for some reason can't see it. But not sure what he'd be worth now in a trade.

Yeah. We just don't have a strong penalty killing bottom six. We're really missing Helm there.

Ericsson has been our best defenseman this year while he's been in the lineup, from what I've seen. That doesn't say great things about our blue line, but it's something in his favor. He's surprised me.

Phil Kessel or Iginla

Defense has started to play much better. White's brought some more stability.

I think when it comes to Cleary there's definitely a need for him to up his game. I'd like to imagine that he would be the first to realize this and I'm hoping that with all the minutes he is getting that he is able to find his game soon enough. Understandably the knee's not what it used to be, but here's to hoping his game comes around.

He's seems like fodder at the moment, but it wasn't long ago that the coaches relied on Cleary as a jack of all trades, versatile enough to slot in anywhere and do what was asked of him. Until someone else proves they can step into that role, he'll get his minutes right about where they're currently at.

No idea. He's basically Homer without the insane net presence and deflection skills.

I wish more people were like you handling the Cleary situation.

I'm with you. Yes, he sucks now and it irks us that Babcock is loyal to him by playing him daily...but the booing, the poop pictures, etc is over the top.

Kinda reminds me of getting mad at your 18 year old dog with no bladder control (also a shadow of its once frisky, useful self much like #11) for urinating on the carpet.

My two cents. You may or , that is your right.

People have proven they can take over his role.

Need goals this period. Specifically by the Wings. Too much effort, not enough results. I hate it when that happens.

He makes millions to play like a piece of ****, people can (rightfully) shred him as much as they like.

Is Quincey the one that keeps jumping on the ice when he shouldn't?

Pavel should put on the jets more often. Opponents crap their pants when they see him come against them like that.

That was a pretty confusing sequence of events. Yakupov and Smyth, both unsportsmanlike? I didn't see the Yakupov penalty but Smyth was definitely yapping about something, maybe last offside. Meh.
