Eichel - Drouin - McDavid - Mackinnon

Lets say all are eligible for the same draft year...in what positions would they go off the board...

I have:

McDavid
Mackinnon
Drouin
Eichel

McDavid
Mackinnon
Eichel
Drouin

(If you made this last year, I would say Eichel but Mackinnon is already in the NHL and had a really good rookie year, giving him the advantage)

Drouin doesn't belong.

And as for the actual rankings I'd go with:

McDavid

Eichel/MacKinnon

Drouin

With Eichel and MacKinnon a toss up for now.

McDavid
Eichel
Mackinnon
Drouin

I think there is a slight drop after the top 2 then a bigger drop between Mac and drouin because of size and the position I see him playing as a pro but all 4 are elite prospects

Did not see enough of Eichel to rank him.

Think I would go:
McDavid
Eichel
MacKinnon
Drouin

The gap between McDavid and Eichel/MacKinnion is small but the gap between the latter two is very small. Comparing a guy who had a CHL career and full NHL season to a NTDP kid is quite difficult. This is by no means a strong decision on my part.

Drouin is well behind the pack, no disrespect to him. He's a joy to watch but I don't think it'd surprise many if he turns out to just be a good top 6 forward whereas the others would legitimately disappoint if they aren't true franchise centers.

The sheer cumulative level and variety of skating talent among these four is something ridiculous to ponder. Eichel and MacKinnon's first couple strides are rocket-fueled. Drouin is hyper-agile. McDavid brings it all.

Still remember when the mooseheads drafted Eichel and I thought he was gonna be our 2nd line Center during that memorial cup year

Drouin for me. The rest are a bit overrated.

Meh. Wait a few years. When Subban stepped into the league I said he'd win a Norris (though I thought it'd be later). I thought Price would be our 2014 starter (and have for years) and also thought Couture would make the 2014 team. I was right on 2/3, and as to Couture, I nearly guarantee he'd have been on the team if not for his injury. You're not giving Drouin fair credit, if you value potential that highly. The ONLY reason that I have McDavid higher is because of what I see in his game. If it weren't for that, I'd have Drouin as #1. Wow do people ever underrate Drouin here.

It's because he is ugly and his game won't translate. Oh wait did I forget undersized? Yeah that too.

Why is it other people who are wrong? Perhaps you are the one overrating him and/or underrating the others.
