Last night an ESPN program was discussing how the Detroit Pistons needed a hero citing the heroes on the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions and no mention of the Detroit Red Wings. All this despite the Red Wings probably being the most succesful team in Detroit right now.

Hughson is brutal... I have no idea why CBC has him doing Leaf games every Saturday. He's a very clear homer for anyone in the west but especially Vancouver.

Didn't recall that one, had to look it up.
I can see how that seems extremely homer-ish on the surface, but I don't think he was saying it as someone "rooting" for the Canucks, but rather expressing what the Canucks, and especially Daniel Sedin the goal-scorer was feeling, who I believe in that same game took a brutal hit from behind from Eager earlier.

Bob Cole is my generations Foster Hewitt. Aside from the odd Hab game with Danny Gallivan all we ever got was Bob Cole so I gotta go with him as he is HNIC to me. Second place would be Jeannertt in Buffalo just for his passion and excitement.

Oh come on now. He's brutal at times. I'm being perhaps a little hypocritical as at times it's been fairly apparent during CFL brodcasts that Cuthburt has an affinity for the eskies, but it's very very rare that you can tell. Hughson has been noticed to be a huge homer for the Canucks by multiple posters for a reason. I don't recall specific examples myself (i have a life) but i've noticed enough times to see it's a trend, and it's really not shocking considering he's had multiple gigs associated with the Canucks (including his start).

I think some people gravitate towards dry and quiet announcers, because as I've said HF is a retirement home.
Shut up you arrogant hipster moron. You know jack about the sport and it soooooo funny to watch you post and prove it.
IT IS EASILY BOB MILLER.
I'll see you around big boy and you might want to watch your mouth.
